hi - i would tend to think that theres an electrical problem with the machine, as most dishwashers will start with the drain operations before commencing any cycle - the drain pump may well be the cause..

Hi, there is water lodged in the bottom pan of the unit. (Unit has to be pulled out to get to the pan.) Am thinking that the back legs of the dishwasher is too high and water is unable to drain out properly. So lower the legs and pull the dishwasher out in about 2 months to check for water in the pan.

That will solve the problem....

Make sure the top rack is pushed back all the way to connect with upper sprayer arm water port. Also make sure nothing is preventing either sprayer arm from rotating and there is nothing blocking the sprayer arm holes, like seeds or pieces of plastic debris. Also make sure your water heater temp is hot enough.

residue..... check lower spinner arm and clean any bits from insideit by back washing with water, also check the pump inlet and filters.....

as for soap still in container, does the soap recepticle door open... if not just place the required amount of detergent on the lower half of the door..

If the door does open and there is still soap ing the recepticle there is definitely a water problem...

you can also try to remove both the upper and lower spinners and run the dishwasher for a couple of minutes to flush out any debris or buldup inside the lines.

A good quality dishwasher cleaner may also be wothwile trying....

Good luck!

Hello there and welcome to fixya.
I understand that your machine has stopped heating
there is a few things that may cause this if you can give me just a bit more info i think we can figure out what is going on
does the unit sound like it is trying to heat normally there will be a sound coming from the unit as it heats up if not if you are able to you may want to check your cycle timer or the heating element itself check them for ohms ..with a meter if you have one.
You can also unplug the machine and quickly press and hold the power button in for a minimum of 45 seconds to allow the circuit computer to reset itself then release the button and wait 10 min then plug in the machine and see if a error code comes up ok
Please do this and let me know what the outcome is, there is still a lot more i can have you check but i want you to check the most simple thing first ok Please keep me posted
Best regards Michael

Dishwasher does not / will not start but the power is on Last updated 30/09/2020 08:52
  • Dishwasher does not / will not start but the power is on
Applies to
  • integrated dishwasher
  • freestanding dishwasher
Resolution 1. Make sure the door is fully closed.
Open and close the door again. If there is a click, this indicates that the door was closed properly.
2. Make sure the delay start function is disabled.
Consult the user manual for detailed instructions on disabling this mode.
3. Check if the previous cycle is still in progress.
If a cycle is still in progress it needs to be cancelled before programming the next cycle.
To cancel the cycle, please read the section regarding cancelling cycles in the user manual for the dishwasher.
On some models, the panel will show how you reset a cycle. Resetting may vary depending on the model so it is a good idea to check or download the user manual.
4. Check if "Ultra-quiet" or "Night" options are selected:
These options involve long pauses in the wash cycle, lasting up to 20 minutes. The cycle may still be running.
5. Check if there are any error messages or alarms:
The error message can be a flashing LED, a sequence of beeps or a code shown on the display. Consult your user manual for detailed information on how to resolve the issue.
6. Check for possible power issues:
  • Make certain that the appliance is plugged in and switched on.
  • Plug another device into the same socket to determine whether there is power.
  • If the socket does not work, contact a local electrician to resolve the issue.
7. Check if there are tripped relays or a blown fuse.
  • Reset the circuit-breaker / RCD device or replace the fuse.
  • You can reset the circuit-breaker by pushing the switch to the "ON" position.
8. The cycle may not start due to the lack of overlap between the lock and the diamond (applies to AirDry dishwashers).
To resolve this issue, refer to the article: "Dishwasher does not switch on, does not start a cycle, does not automatically open the door at the end of a cycle"
9. Contact an Authorised Service Centre.
If the above suggestions do not resolve the issue, we recommend requesting a visit by a service engineer.
Warning: We do not recommend using the product until the problem has been completely fixed. Unplug the product and do not plug it in again until you are certain that it is OK to do so.
