If you are talking F then that is too low at -10, F? is what is required.If C then the FF (whatever that means) at 40C is too hot and -20 is about right for a freezer.

The freezer controls the fresh side temp by letting the cold air through the divider. Make sure that the passage is not blocked or iced over. Also check the cooling coils to make sure they are clean.
I don't know - I would describe the noise as being like the wind blowing across a chimney. I have never owned a fridge that didn't make such a noise as it grew older - while it was on a cooling cycle and afterwards it sounds like water trickling. It doesn't seem to affect the performance though and I manage to ignore it.
