I have a magic chef furnace, armstrong series if the pilot light and ignightor both work but the burners wont light is it possible the thermocuppler bad?

The thermocouple keeps the pilot light on. If the flame blows out it shuts off the gas to the pilot lite only the board that has the igniter on it supplies power to open the main burner as long as the igniter is operating. Sounds like the gas valve is nor working.

Model GS20-D side by side will not cycle. Why?

Hello Carol; My name is Peter. I am a retired field service technician. Your given model number has more digits to it, therefore I can not identify your particular unit for spare parts numbers. 1.) Defrost Timer - Remove the front bottom grill. It just clips on, 1 clip on each end - just pull on it. On the bottom right you will see a small plate with a hole through it. This hole has a slot for a screw driver. With a flat head screw driver turn the slot clockwise. You will hear a clicking sound. Slowly turn one click at a time until the refrigerator turns off. Wait 30 minutes. Observe the freezer back wall. Do you hear a hissing sound (condensate hitting the heater) or is the back defrosting? If this is happening then you have a bad defrost timer. If this is not happening your defrost timer is good. Using your screw driver turn the slot 1 click at a time until you refrigerator turns on. 2.) Defrost Heater - Purchase this part before you start the work. Observe the part and the connectors on it. Unplug the unit. Completely empty your freezer section and all shelf. Remove the light bulb cover, it clips on squeeze to remove. Remove the light bulb. Unscrew all of the screws in the back panel. This panel has rubber strips on each side and may give you some difficulty removing the back panel. Observe how the heater is mounted. There are two reflector plate holding each heating element, remove them, 1 screw on each side. Disconnect the existing heater and install the new heater. BE CAREFUL THE FREEZER COIL IS RASOR SHARP, WEAR GLOVES. Reassemble. I do not think you will have to remove the ice maker and bucket, but you may, to remove the lower back panel. Purchase Locally: Defrost Timer $63.00. Defrost Heater $65.00. Purchase over the internet for about 1/2 price.

Isn't there supposed to be a drain pan or atleast a bottom piece on my refrigerator?

Should be a water pan under the freezer side to hold the water when it goes into defrost cycle. the water will then evaporate by the fan an heat.

I have a magic chef French door refrigerator. Water under the freezer becomes ice and when this melts water seeps onto the floor. Sometimes enough water to completely soak a couple of towels

Lower the setting to your FREEZER this may be defrosting too often and the drip pan is over filling, or stop leaving the doors open too long .

What is the Cu. Ft. of my Magic Chef Refrigerator Model # RB193AV? Previously put Model # in Select a specific product, 1st time on fixya

Hi Jim, Because this is an older model and the CU feet many not reflect the size you can now fit with newer models (better insulation, etc.), I'd suggest going by the dimensions of the opening and allowing for the manufacturer's recommended clearances. Whats could cause my refrigerator stop getting cold?

The coils are probably freezing up. If so, then u will need to remove all your items and unplug the unit for 24 hours. Find out if that is the problem so u can fix it after you dethaw for 24 hours. New models have a panel against the back of INSIDE of fridge. You do not want to remove this until most of the ice is melted as it will tear off insulation and destroy the panel. If coils are frozen its probably the evaporator fan. Next option would be control board if newer model. That's all I know from experience. Hope that helps:)

Magic chef CGR1320BDH range won't light.

Hi, Most likely you will need a spark module, part number 74004282, its not difficult to replace, should be located on the back of the unit, could be blue or white in color. I just looked this up and I was shocked at the cost, same manufacture makes a 12001596 part if you want to save money but may require to change terminal end to make this work. your possible saving would be 300 percent with the other part. Good Luck, be sure to unplug unit and be safe. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gere_bf68e6055dd61249
