DVR-220-S Capacitor C19

I just purchased the following capacitors from Mouser.com. I bought 2 of each and with shipping it cost me about $10:

C17: 1800uF, 25V, D 15mm L 20mm - 647-UPW1E182MHD6
C19: 3300uF, 10V, D 12mm L 25mm - 647-UHM1A332MHD
C23: 1000uF, 10V, D 10mm L 17mm - 647-UPW1A102MPD

I could not find a replacement for the C24. My C19 blew and after replacing it the DVR came back to life.

Unit was not powering up. Capacitors on the power

Try cleaning the laser pick-up by inserting any ordinary CD (or DVD) cleaning disc and use as described by the manufacturer of it. Possibly dirty laser. Otherwise you may need to replace the reader as described on another website.

I have a Pioneer dvd

Check for more damaged Capacitors and check out the resistors and diodes around the damaged caps which you replaced. Check the traces on the circuit board and look for cold solder joints bridges and such. Also... Did you make sure you got your polarity correct on your caps?

Can irecord on my dvr 220 pioneer from my new

Yes you can do this. You just need to make sure that the TV outputs its picture on the scart lead that you have connected to the Pioneer unit, and you need to set the Pioneer unit to record from that scart input. Once this is done, it will be able to record whatever you have on the screen. Be aware though, if you turn off the TV it stops outputting its picture to the recorder, and if you change channel, it changes what what the recorder see's too. I hope this helps you. :)
