I have 14 magazines (CD holders) that I want to sell. I also have a unit and the remote to sell too.

In some cases the linking flexible cord for the motor drive can be open/torn and so the motor will not work. Since the panle moves all the times this cord being flexible can breaks off in a period of time. So look carefully after opening the top panel and if this is confirmed then the wires can be looped to work.
Check the motor using an external voltage , check continuity of the cord. If not the drive or the output to the drive IC is absent.

Depends on the capabilities of the device you're connecting it to.

Typically, the analog Audio Out RCA cables would go to any corresponding Line Level input; the coaxial- or optical-digital audio would go to any compatible connectors on the receiving unit.

pioneer cd players have the common problem of losing their laser lens due to the glue that holds it in place going brittle over time. try shaking the player from side to side and upside down to see if you can hear the lens rattling about. if you recover the lens, very carefully slot it back in place and apply a tiny drop of glue (NOT SUPERGLUE) to the outside edge of the lens taking care not to get any on the focus area and leave to dry. all should be well after this. i find UHU GLUE in the yellow tubes do a lasting fix but don't use SUPERGLUE as the fumes will coat the lens.

On some models there is a small hole for a paperclip to fit in to eject the tray, most dont.

Try unpluging the player, also hold down the eject button.
Last option is to take it apart and manually eject the disc.

Its a com-plete unit that will not power on so it should have the part you need..

Have the same problem. Had friend, electronic tech look at it. Pickup assembly failure. Use Partstore.com or Pioneer to find part and then cross reference with other models that use same part. I bought used item on Ebay, $40 to repair my unit. Simple 5 screws, two pug in cables. Be sure to discharge static electricity from body before touching interior parts. Up and running in 20 min,

Replace the power supply.

Check the balance control. Apart from that the unit will have to be checked internally to ascertain where the signal is breaking down. This will require some skill and some equipment. My guess is it will be a dry solder joint or a dried out capacitor. If a capacitor looks 'leaky' or swollen, it is a good bet it is outside its tolerance and should be replaced.
