As far as I am aware there is no Windows 7 Driver available for this scanner Contact Visioneer for a solution

Hi, There shouldn't be any problem really. A couple of things you can try: 1. Verify that you have SP2 in the new Dell; 2. Verify that you have USB 2.0; 3. Verify that all your USB are enabled in your CMOS/BIOS; 4. Un-check "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power" in your USB Power Management; 5. Try other USB ports (front/rear). What version of windows are you using? Which software are you using to do the scan, and what version? It sounds like either the version of scanning software is incompatible with the version of windows, The USB connection (Assuming it is connected via USB) is a older USB connect (1.0 or 1.1) and a update to the firmware is causing a fault in the final scan, or finally the scanner has gone defunk... time to get a new one.

  1. Go into the OneTouch properties.
  2. Choose "Configure Before Scan" as the configuration.
  3. Choose the destination to be either "Storage".

I assume that the light in the lid does not light when trying to scan a negative.
Remove the lid from the scanner, unplug the connecting lead and lift off.
Remove the TWO screws near to the rear edge, holding the scanner plate in place.
GENTLY lift the lid around 15mm (the edge that has just had the screws removed) and GENTLY move backwards.
This will release the lid and it can be removed.
You will see the circuit board that controls the cold cathode lamp.
Check out the continuity of the lead with a meter.
The lamp can be removed as you will see in the photograph for easy replacement.
Refitting is simply a reversal of the above steps.

Hi Happi,
Sorry but you are not going to be.
I had the 9020 scanner and then I got Vista (which in my opinion was a VERY expensive mistake), and like you I could not get the scanner to work.
I got in touch with Visioneer, and guess what, there are no drivers for vista. Visioneer then go on to tell me that this scanner has reached EOL. ("end of life") well I've had it three years what can I expect.
Sorry for the not nice info., I had to buy another scanner to use with vista..............Thanks Bill

Yes. If you don't have the drivers for windows 10. Go to support site, download then & install.
