It's quite possible. Does the scanner connect to the computer via a USB or parallel (old style printer) port?
If the answer is
USB, then I believe you might find what you need
HERE.
My only reservation is the "P" in the model name you gave. I didn't find any
Visioneer scanners w/ a "P" in the model name. However, this one lists drivers going all the way back to Windows 98SE. So, this may very well be the ticket.
Take a look at the picture of the scanner you see at the link I gave you. If it looks right, go ahead and download the manual and take a look at that. If, after viewing the manual, you're convinced it is for your scanner, then go ahead and download the drivers for it and install them on your XP system.
As always, make sure you create a System Restore point b4 making changes to your system like installing or uninstalling software or drivers.
