Check the front panel for switches that enable/disable the speakers. When enabled, there should be indicator lights that are on.

Your output transistors are shorted and need to be looked at by a tech.

a little bit foolish thing: see if you have both the speaker channels (A and B) down. if you have both down it doesn't work - didn't for me.. and obviously make sure you have the right letter down - same outpout as your boxes

Using a higher voltage fuse is not a problem, but if the fuse you used amps are to high, that is a problem. Sounds like a resister burnt. You have a short somewhere in that particular circuit, which is what took out your original fuse. . .your fuse did it's job by blowing and saving the circuit. If you can get your hands on a schematic, you can trace the circuit and find the short.

that indicates that the unit is on stand by mode

There must be a diode that is faulty in the power supply section mainly on of the rectifying diodes.
If you look closely at your board you will see four diodes that just after the fuse and befroe the Big capaictor(filter cap.) One of these four diodes must be faulty as the fuse keeps blowing. the diodes are responsible of current limitation drawback. So there must be current flowing back to the fuse that makes it keep blowing.
Check and replace. Good luck

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as a possible root cause for intermittent shutdown.

The pioneer SA 205 is an AM/FM stereo reciever. It is not programmed for the XM/Serius radio that is transmitted by satellite.

There is a couple ways you can do this.
1.you can use the maufacture remote control, or if you dont have one you would need a universal.
2.If your receiver is hidden, or behind closed doors than you will need a radio frequency capable universal remote

it has some old documents in queue, click on printer in notification area and delete all old jobs given to your printer, hope it will solve you problem..

Check the area where the fuse was...it's usually marked on the board or next to the fuse holder. Check the size also, 2 types 5x20mm or 1/4x1 1/4 in. Usually slow blow.

usually it is a technical indication of the output being shorted. disconnect all speaker wires and try again. still blinking?

may be Output transistors are blown on one side. NTE replacement P/N = NTE2329 & 2328. They are about $10 ea. You'll have to take an Ohm meter to figure out which one is shorted.

Check that the speaker wires are securely connected to the binding posts, and if you are using bare strand wire on them that there are no loose strands that can touch the chassis or other terminals or other wires.
Also check that your speakers are of a compatible Ohm rating for the unit. If you have any equalizer, tone controls or "bass boost" effects enabled, turn those off. They all require more amplifier power, thus possible overload can result.

Probably needs an output IC. but check for bad solder connections on the input board. If you get it serviced I est. about $90-$120 for the part and labor.

Check the final output relays first. They are mechanical and have been known to fail after so many cycles. The click you hear about 3 seconds after you push the power button are those relays.

The Pioneer SX-205 does not have remote control capabilities.
