Arcsoft Totalmedia 3.5 installing fails
I have Windows 7 64-bit and couldn't install TotalMedia 3.5
It would only get as far as Select Video Device, and give 2 options:
> WinFast DTV Dongle Gold BDA Filter
> FM/DAB Dongle
I downloaded a driver (AF9015 BDA Driver - 9.6.3.1) from
http://www.unisupport.net/
Select Video Device then gave these 2 options:
> AF9015 BDA Driver
> FM/DAB Dongle
The first one did the trick.
(The second one was possibly there because I have a Kaiser Baas USB FM radio.)

Microphone is not working
Hi friend,
I think your Notebook's mic is muted. if you are using Windows XP/Windows 2000 then double click theh Speaker Icon in Task Bar. There you select the properties and then the recording option. You will get the Microphone setting. Unmute it here.
If your problem is still there you can just let me know
Thanks

A window keeps popping up
Hello,
Arcsoft is a suite of media handling programs. Arcsoft Connect is used for online connection (updates, new goodies etc). It would be odd if you have 'Connect' without any other of their products, so you might want to uninstall those first if they exist
In order to remove that from your computer lets try these methods.
Method 1:
If it is installed into C:\Program Files, you may be able to uninstall it via programs and features.
To do that follow the link provided below.
Uninstall or change a program
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Uninstall-or-change-a-program
Method 2:
Try disabling the "ArcSoft Connect Daemon" service from Services before you start.
To do that you need to follow these steps:
1. Click on start button.
2. Type in services.msc in the search field.
3. Now locate the "ArcSoft Connect Daemon" service and right click on it and select disable.
Now reboot the computer and check if the issue gets resolved.
Method 3:
If the above method doesn't resolve the issue, you may try downloading the windows installer cleanup utility and install it on your computer and try removing the arcsoft program and check for the issue.
To do that you need to follow the links provided below.
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility

Bought a laptop with arcsoft
I suppose the arcsoft on you computer is an old version and could have an obsolete address. Go to arcsoft.com manually and download the latest version then buy.

Every time i start up
Have you tried going to Control Panel>Programs and Features and uninstalling the arcsoft program? If that doesn't work, do the following:
- Open the Start menu and go to Run... Or, if Run... is not available, skip it and go to the little bar you can type in at the bottom of the start menu
- Type "msconfig" (without the quotes)
- When the window pops up, go to the Startup tab
- Find the arcsoft entry and disable it.
- Reboot your computer. The msconfig window will open up again to be sure that your settings are the way you want them, you can just close it.
