The dealer has probably supplied you with a pirated copy of 07 - illegally upgraded the XP installation to a Windows 7 one.

Frankly, I'd rather downgrade the system to XP, which I feel it's much lighter on system resources and battery - which is important for a netbook.

Their Italian office gave me a Vista Ultimate product key (instead of the XP I asked, since XP was at "end of life") and even sent me the box with the license, at no cost. They DID insist on getting the details of the sad excuse for a shop where first I got saddled with a different product than the one I had paid for, and then laughed after when I went back to protest or at least have my money back.

well, if you don't want to upgrade your knowledge to office 2007 (personally don't like it at all) you can use open office, it's totally free and loads all microsoft documents and will save in microsoft format also. www.openoffice.org
