2. Then click on Settings and then click on the Control Panel icon.
3. Double click on the Display icon to open up the Display Properties window.
4. Then click on the Settings tab at the top of the screen.
5. Then click on the Advanced button at the bottom of the screen.
6. In the Display section of the screen you will see an area to change the Font Size:
7. Use your mouse to switch between Small, Large and Other according to your preference.
8. Then click on the OK button to save your changes and then close the Display Properties window.
9. Windows will inform you that you must restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
10. Click on the Yes button to allow Windows to restart your computer.

open windows 98se that was saved to desktop and burn the ISO "Only"
by dragging and dropping to upper lefthand field of open imageburn ater choosing burn image to disk (you will need a blank cd for this or dvd if the machine you are installing to has a dvd rom installed.)
imageburn will have tutorials at heir website if needed.
Please keep in mind that this is free...all of it. So somewhere along the way make a small donation or at least seed for a bit if it is downloading slowly, because unless you have an installation disk you won't get it free any other way. No need for updating so just turn off automatic updates and if you need them get them from a 3rd party site. Be sure to always scan before installing.. When all is said and done scan with malwarebytes.

Do you use Win98 for a purpose or just didn't upgrade yet ? I recommend you to upgrade to Win XP or to Win 7 !
There are many reasons that your computer run slow . Virus or spyware infections are the most reasons . If you scanned your computer and it was clean , then i recommend you to check for registry errors ! Too many programs installed on your computer can cause the problem too , so try to uninstall unneeded programs .

Hi bud , Why dont you just burn the Setup for 98 too a disk , then in your PC settings when you boot , Set too boot from Disk , and put the 98 Disk in , And follow the setup and it will install no problem and save you alot of trouble , Hope you come right

If so, remove it from your system, using add/remove programs. It is crapware. See this link. and this link.
Then I recommend you download an antimalware program for your system and scan it to check for other possible problems. Unfortunately, most of my recommendations won't work on your system. SAS is very highly regarded, even for newer systems, and available here. You could also try this or this. Both are excellent companies. I'm not sure the BOClean download will work for Win98 any longer, as they just recently discontinued it as a standalone app and you must now install internet security. If you do so, make sure to leave the AV portion turned off so it doesn't conflict with your current av.
Anyway, choose one and run a scan to check for other problems, and remove any that are found.

If you have the install disk, try and boot from the disk and reinstall. To change boot order, press the key to enter bios. (different on different pc's) Common ones are f8, and delete. If you have valuable data on the Computer you dont want to lose, then use a recovery disk. (BartPe is a good one. Just google it.)

Try this. Been a long time since I used a command prompt but it should work. If you can get to the boot menu use a start up floppy.

Restoring a Backup

Reboot your computer, press F8 to enter Windows Boot options. Start your computer with Command Prompt ONLY.

To restore your most recent backup.
At the command prompt type --> scanreg /restore and hit enter.

To choose a backup to restore.

Go to the \Windows\Command directory.
Run SCANREG /restore
Select which one you want to restore.

Can you tell me more about the error message you receive? PRINTER.EXE is reported as harmfull software and is not made by Microsoft nor supplied with windows 98 as it is rogue harmfull software.

Are you using windows 98 or are you using windows 98 start up diskette - dos and you want to print from the Dos`?
