My artista 200 freezes up when sewing or embroidering. the screen will stay on, but when you push the pedal, the machine will not work! Help!
Machine freezing is most likely a fault on the Windows processor daughterboard on the main control board ('S'-print). However, if you've spent $150 on a repair, your dealer did not replace this board - they are, I'm afraid, a great deal more than this and the probability is that he replaced the power-supply board ('L'-print) - this will not cure the problem, he's mis-diagnosed it, you need to consider whether you can afford to have it repaired because an 'S'-print is likely to be over $500 plus fitting (sorry, I'm in UK, so I dont know what the replacement cost is in US and it's probably more than I've quoted). If you want to go ahead, you need to point out to the dealer that they got it wrong and get the wasted cost of repair deducted from your bill ..... preferably find a more reliable dealer / repair man !! Good Luck.
