The TV has no audio.
The most common causes for no sound are as follows:
Volume turned down too low.
MUTE button on.
Speakers set to OFF in AUDIO OPTIONS MENU.
MTS set to SAP in AUDIO OPTIONS menu instead of STEREO or MONO.
Headphones plugged into the headphone output jack on your tv.
If it is not a simple button / setting problem like the ones listed above, make sure the problem is present on all channels and all input modes like the DVD as well. If it is, then the problem is likely a component failure on one of the circuit boards inside the set. If your warranty is still valid, then you should return it right away to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange.
Otherwise, this will require significant disassembly, troubleshooting, repair and component replacement by someone with at least some basic electronic and electrical safety skills. If you are unable to conduct these types of procedures yourself, then you will have to seriously weigh the cost benefit of spending at least $100-$200 to get it fixed at a repair shop by a technician, versus the price of a brand new TV which comes with a full warranty.
Please comment back here to this page if you have any questions, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.
Thank you very much and good luck, hope this helps a bit.
Joe.

Wont play videos
Try a DVD cleaning kit and follow instructions, if this fails! the laser pickup assembly will need to be replaced, not cost effective to repair.

Put the disc in and the player says no disc. Whats the problem?
Could be a dirty laser lens. You can clean it if you are confident enough to remove the cover and have a go. Just carefully wipe over it with a cotton bud. Not to hard though as it is supported on very sensitive suspension which allows it to move up and down to compensate for uneven/warped disks.
