How to fix a USB port that does not work on a laptop
Funny, got this same with my old Acer V5 531. Recently bought it for parts, but then decided to check it out. Seems like one of the ports has had something shoved forcefully in, and probably in a wrong angle. It had bent one of the contact fingers inside the motherboard connector, and despite my tries it stayed dead. So, in my case there are two possibilities to have functional USB. I'll have to either solder the old connector out of the board and replace it with a functional one. Or, I could buy a new/second hand motherboard. The first choice will not guarantee a functional result as I don't know if something else has burned on the mobo during the suspected short. Luckily enough, fifteen minutes ago someone put up an ad for a used identical motherboard on a local second hand marketplace for 10€ so I'll probably go for it :)

well you can test those BT on other things
TV , PC, AVR
if it faill on all then it is a bad amp/PSU
or one input is bad, (all or just one on speaker jacks.
if the PSU in it bad, (as is weak) the sound volume may surge (dip:) down.
not told how connected that PC< at all.
AUX 1, aux2 Toslink fiber.

toslink is best (no 60Hz hum ever)
test this powered speaker system on TV , AVR or other PC of any kind.
to add Toslink buy USB DAC, dongle to USB.
tests are simple try it on other things, and all inputs to speaker tried.

Go to the BIOS settings, ensure the first boot drive is your bootable drive, usually drive C. If it isn't, that is why it won't boot. If it is, insert your Windows disc and perform a repair.

learn that there are lots of ways to fail on any ODD ,optical disk drive or disks.
let me guess ,
you burned RW disks on a ODD that does that, (vast MODELS)
and the disk works here, reads OK fully. then
then pulled the disk out and went to a 2nd PC, ODD.
and found out it fails due to:
- PC is CD only,
- PC has dvd rom only feature and dvd rw fails sure it will.
- PC drive is not rated for DVD-RW at all. or any RW of any kind.
- no PC told, no PC ODD model told..so... impossible to help much.
now how to cheat told next , how to see what the drive can do
with out removing the ODD drive fully and reading the top label.
some desktops , not all, the ODD tray front tells what it can do.
but most OEM makers do not do that.(pc brands)
the maGIC APP CALLED HWINFO32 (FREE)
RUN IT AND SEE THE DRIVE AND IT TELLS YOU ALL MEDIA IT SUPPORTS. now you know.

if you had , HDD encryption enabled and old PC is dead
there is no access, now. that is the #1 goal of using encryption so others can not steal your data, A#1 GOAL
if drive is good it can be erased, but no hdd label presented
so I can look at makers site for the methods
winlocker is and app on ACER PC, and is now gone.
so there is no fix to get data.
why not ask winlocker , for help, they may have fix if you know the Password but that is only 1/2 the cure, the key is lost. (in ACER)

one edge stops the thief.

see? that means stay backed up or not use winlocker.
or fix the bad dead ACER first.
then turn off winlocker

it needs service, and service manuals are hard to find on anything by the likes of ACER.
this projector worked for 12 long years, did you own it 12 or bought a bad projector, no history told as I can buy dead projectors all day long. and hard nut problems even hacking done.

did you read owners manual page 32 yet, errors.

there are 4 LED, and all 4 matter, projector turned (ON) (not one =1)
also in pairs glowing and also if blinking or not, so read page 32
it tells all that.
my guess is overheat failures, even cold, due fan slow or packed in lint after 12 years of use and no service done,.
