My model 1099 stopped displaying despite battery changes for the indoor and outdoor sensors. How do I get it to display again. After all these years of satisfactory use.

Try removing all batteries, then reinstalling in the outdoor unit and waiting for it to start sending data before reinstalling batteries in the indoor unit. If you don't see data displayed on the indoor unit, the outdoor unit may have failed.

Acurite I do not have an a b c sensor on my indoor units only outside so will no sync up

Reset display by pressing the RESET button, located on the back of the display unit inside the battery compartment. Date and time will need to be entered after a reset. Flashing of the outdoor temperature is generally an indication of wireless interference. https://www.acurite.com/media/manuals/00754-instructions.pdf Hard Reset:
  1. Bring both the sensor and display unit together and power down by removing at least one battery from each and/or removing the power cord.
  2. Make sure the A-B-C switch on both units matches. ...
  3. Reinstall the battery in the outdoor sensor.
  4. Reinstall batteries and/or power cord into the display unit

My Maxkon N17014 WS-1081 weather station LCD will not work on battery power it's ok when connected to computer via USB

Take it apart and get some isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip. check for corrosion around the terminals. If there is none, look for loose connections. If there is something loose, check if a bit of the board is loose. If a bit of the board is stuck to the terminals, give up on batteries.

I have a model 265NC National Geographic Weather station and the outside info doesn't register are there batteries in the outside unit?

Sometimes the weather brings us surprises. For example, it is sunny in the morning bet when you leave your office, it is snowing outside. So, it can spoil our evening. In such cases, snow day finder is necessary because it can warn you about future weather changes.

Pearl outdoor/indoor thermometer, can battery be replaced? If so, how?

can the battery be replaced. If so, how? open the cover on the back of the device. this is done by squeezing the cover of the battery sector slightly. then remove the old batteries and replace the new ones (I assume you have the AAA) and put the new ones in keeping with the polarity for the device to work properly and then close the battery compartment cover in reverse order

Outside temp read 80.Smart phone weather said 70.Replaced batteries and did all the troubleshooting. Model 0041/00609SBDIA/00611A3. Less than 1 year old. Inside temp works, dashes on outside reading.

Place your remote temperature sensor and the inside unit together for about an hour to see if they both read the same or if there is a large difference in the temperatures.Dashes on the outside temperature reading may indicate that the inside unit is not receiving a signal from the remote. Change the batteries on the remote or change the location of the inside and/or outside units so that they can receive a strong signal between each other.Your smartphone temperature may be coming from a location that is not near your home. They are often from a weather service. Where is your local temperature sensor located? Is it in the sun? Is it on the south side of the house, or another location where the sun or an air conditioner or other heat source may affect the accuracy of the reading? Try to locate your outside sensor in a shaded location with plenty of ventilation, and away from heat sources.

Do you have a setting for the power line frequency? Some devices get their timebase from the power line frequency and if your powerline is 60 Hz, but you have it set on 50 Hz, then it will speed it up because of the 10 extra cycles per second.

Auriol weather station. My external sensor is not working. I have replaced the batteries but it still doesn't illuminate the red led. Please can anybody give me advice

The sensor should flash briefly when you put in good batteries. Afterwards it should flash about every couple of minutes. If you have a voltmeter check the batteries are at least 1.3 volts (the voltage will drop when they get colder). Ideally they should be about 1.4-1.6 V. Try cleaning the battery compartment contacts and springs with a cotton bud and alcohol. If the contacts look rusted then use fine emery paper or scrape with a screwdriver to remove the rust and tarnish. Clean the ends of the batteries by rubbing with a tissue or cloth. When inserting new batteries twist them inside the battery housing to help make better contact. Another thing you might try is to use a screwdriver to very carefully stretch the springs in the battery compartment a little to allow better contact. (Warning do not pull the spring too hard so as not to damage it) If using new batteries does not help then the sensor may have a fault. If the led on the outdoor sensor is flashing but the indoor sensor does not pick up the signal you can try putting the indoor sensor closer to the outdoor sensor. Otherwise you may need to re-tune the indoor sensor to the correct frequency (there is a small adjustable screw inside).
