XP Pro Activation 42 digit code needed- help please
The only way to get the 42 digit confirmation number is to get on the phone with Microsoft. There is a setting to activate the computer on the internet if it won't activate by the internet, a call to microsoft is the only legal fix for this problem. Using a keygen would subject your computer to possible viruses and would be against the DMCA in the USA.

Running avast computer shuts down showing system recover from serious error.
Did you have Avast installed previusly or was it the first run?
In any case, try to do a System Restore to a point previous to this strange behaviour.
If you can't localise it in your Programs (Start) find exe file in
C:\Windows\System32\restore\rstrui.exe
Presume your system disk is C: and system forlder is windows. Use the proper one if it's different

The drivers for this device
Device Manager error codes are exclusive to Device Manager. If you see the Code 28 error elsewhere in Windows, chances are it's a system error code which you should not troubleshoot as a Device Manager issue.
A Code 28 error is caused by a missing driver for that particular piece of hardware. There are any number of reasons that a driver might not be installed for a device but your troubleshooting of the problem will be the same no matter the root cause.
More info and resolution to this error code can be

Trying to find my test score from a exam i took
two thing to try, the first, go to search, then pick C: directory to look in, if you know the acronym or abevation type document, input to the search field, "txt" or "PDF" if your not sure the type of document just input the period symble. that is going to give everything, also xp has the option to choose the file type, if by chance it was deleted, I'll give you a link to download an application that pulls deleted data of your hard dive it's called "RECOVA" its made by the same folks who make "CCLEANER" 100% freeware, I hope this helps

Does anybody support xp
XP has been Sunset-ed. Meaning no more Microsoft support.
You can still use it, but at a risk, because there will be NO more security patches, once somebody figures out a way to get past the most latest patch, then if your computer is ever hacked, then you will be vulnerable.
I still use XP, it was a good OS! I am just very careful what I do with that computer.
Slowly, as the software keeps getting updated, XP will be so outdated, that those pieces of software I use will also, no longer update?
Does anybody support it? Well Microsoft doesn't, and they made it. You probably can still get service, but I am sure they will want to sell you on an upgrade to newest OS.
