The issue is the Kodak software remove it- put the disk in the box and forget about it Let Windows do the work.

A replacement can be purchased for under £30. Any repair, even if feasible, would be much more than that.

It is possibly an issue with the zoom motor, not the switch itself

Perhaps you left it in a cupboard for a long time, without charging? And even when not, batteries sometimes go down. When you charged it for about 6 hours on a PC, it should be powered up complete. If not, stop the charging, let is cool down and then try it again. If the same thing happens again, I'm affrays you have to look for a new Battery. Since the battery is inside, without a battery door, you can't repair it yourself. But perhaps you try ifixit dot com to see if they can help when you want to replace the battery yourself.

Check your memory card and see if there is a lock on it. That would give you a write protection error.

If it shows the flash is on but it doesn't flash, check that you are allowing the internal capacitor to charge up by depressing the button for taking pictures halfway until the capacitor charges up. If it still doesn't flash the camera may need service at Agfa.com.
