there should be no code. try checking all of your fuses.

you probably have a bad cd mech. the radio will have to be taken apart to remove the cd. the only way to repair it is to replace the cd mech.

, the message you are getting is "amp guard". This is the mesage it will display when a short in a speaker wire or speaker with low impedence is hooked to the internal amp and sends it into protect mode, shutting down the amplifier section while the rest of the unit continues to work.

okay you will need to hard wire it in the vehicle. so i will need to know what year make and model car you have?

you need to slide two thin keys down each side to release the unit from the cage.

i have the same stero in my boat made 2004 it is easy red(hot) black (Ground) Orange (Illumination) (hot) the 2 fused yellow is bat direct (memory) blue w/white stripe (remote) solid blue (power attenna) the 2 white wires ft left speaker, 2 gray rt front, green left rear, purple rt rear, the single brown is for the changer i believe

There should be a red to battery+ and the yellow to a switched live+ from the ignition switch.

Other sites I've read about this problem suggest that first you try checking the wiring to the speakers for a fault to ground OR you have speakers with too low impedance. If those check out ok, the unit needs to go back for service.

I have now gone through 3 of these units and encountered that exact same issue. The first came from a Tweeter store, the second from Ebay, and arrived with a CD stuck in it (I returned it), and the third from Ebay, ad that one just broke last week. It clicks when I try to load a CD. The only reason that I kept buying them is because I have an old BMW, and the black face and orange/amber illumination match my interior exactly. I am trying to contact Clarion, but the 'support' link on the site is not active. I tried to remove the stuck CD from the first unit to no avail. Basically, it is broken, and even if you remove the CD, the load/eject mechanism is broken and you can no longer play a CD in that unit.
