Check out the manual it needs a little setting up I guess.
There should be a more comprehensive manual on the CD in PDF format.
My Minolta Dimage X20 says card locked when it is
Then the only remaining cause is damaged or dirty memory card contact contacts inside the memory card slot.
They're almost impossible to get to if they need cleaning and as the camera is now six years old with no further spares or after-sales support damaged contacts are effectively non-repairable. Even if you could get the parts, the camera is virtually worthless and would not justify the repair costs.
One trick I sometimes use with kill or cure problems like yours is to find a piece of dense paper card about the same thickness as the memory card contacts. I trim the card so that it will insert snugly all the way into the slot with enough sticking out to comfortably hold and then inset and remove it a few times. This alone is sometimes sufficient to clean the contacts. If it doesn't work, I make another dummy card and spray a little electronic switch contact cleaner on the end and then try again: it's important not to use a fresh card and usually I just use the opposite end of the dummy I card which I started with. Too much contact cleaner will damage the camera, but you really have nothing to lose if you wish to regain full use of the device.
If this doesn't work then it's time to either donate the camera to a junior family member or to sell it for "spares/repairs", but the selling and listing fees will likely exceed the price achieved.
The X20 wasn't a bad camera in it's time, but like all consumer level digital cameras it's not built to last nor to be repairable. Time to start writing your letter to Santa!

How do I clear pictures off the memory card?
The best way to remove all pictures from the memory card is to format it. This wipes all data from the card and prepares it for further use.Without knowing the model of your K-M camera I can't give you the exact procedure for formatting the card, but there should be a command somewhere in the menu system, probably under "Setup".
Konica Minolta Dimage Z6 working fine, but Windows 11 wont recognise it. Any ideas please?
If your Konica Minolta Dimage Z6 camera is working fine but is not being recognized by Windows 11, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the USB cable: Make sure that the USB cable you are using is properly connected to both the camera and the computer. Try using a different USB cable to see if that resolves the issue.
- Check the USB port: Try connecting the camera to a different USB port on your computer to see if the port is the issue. Some USB ports may not have enough power to detect the camera.
- Install the camera driver: If the camera did not come with a driver disc, try downloading and installing the driver from the manufacturer's website. Make sure to download the correct driver for your camera model and operating system.
- Restart the computer: Sometimes, restarting the computer can help to resolve issues with USB devices not being recognized.
- Try a different computer: If the above steps do not work, try connecting the camera to a different computer to see if the issue is with the camera or the computer.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that there may be a hardware problem with the camera. In that case, it may be necessary to contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for further assistance.
