Hi, well i would imagine that when the glass broke, the light most likely very briefly contacted the Earth, this has no doubt then damaged the power supply, and or main board(s) of the unit. Either that or a power surge, caused the bulb to explode? regardless, this, either is, or has, precipitated a fairly terminal event, that has caused the unit to stop working.
In any event, this is a strange symptom, and troubleshooting steps will have to be taken to isolate the exact cause, as there is no clear cut fault, other than what's explained and the fact it doesn't go.
Due to the nature of this I would honestly recommend that you have this unit looked at by a professional, simply contact a Maytag, local or head office and ask for a referral to a local authorised service center, ask them to call, and give you a "Quote" as to the costs to repair the machine. Then you can make a decision after you receive the information.
If you do wish to DIY, then to assist you, below is a website that will show you how to troubleshoot the issues, and below that is your service and repair manual.
