Sounds like one of those problems only cureable with expert knowledge of for example Chroma feed , Lcd function , lamp luminence, not to be a killjoy but it sounds like this is one for the engineers an estimate should be free and even if you dont have it fixed you'll know whats wrong if you want to do it yourself providing you have adequate training of course .... You tried three notebooks, but did they have the same video adapters? Try a notebook with a different video adapter. i would say your video adapter isn't good enough to put out a dual display. you might need to get a laptop with a better video card
