My door still won't close after manual release
Hi,
Some garage openers have a string/lever next to the main box that needs to be set in it's up-position in order to use the remote. Please check that this is the case for your garage-door opener and trying using the remote afterwards. Otherwise, we might have to factory reset the remote before reprogramming it.
Thank you.

Help to fix elevated casement window winder please?
Question edited for clarity and fix typos.
Question moved to 'Windows - Building Materials' category.
The winder mechanisms come in many types, but there are usually two screws hiding under plastic cover plugs on the locking handle or the crank handle mounting plate. You can normally pop them out with the tip of a knife or a jewelers screwdriver.
As far as lubricant goes, use a light machine oil like '3-in-One', or I use a dry silicone spray called Jigaloo available in Canadian Tire or from Amazon. Don't use WD40.

12 beeps-which means, door travels with abnormal speed. Only 1 1/2 yrs old. not sure how to fix.
Hi Shawn , the first thing I would check is the wheels and tracks for there straightness and alignment, & to just to make sure there's no debris in track but mostly to ensure all the wheels are greased and moving freely not only at the bearing
But in the shaft as well
The next suspect is the tension springs over head
Door down = tight spring
Door up. = loose spring
Caution; these are very strong and very dangerous ; Caution
these springs are assisting, to make the door feel weightless to the opener. If you are handy with tools then you can make a very minor adjustment (+or-) to these springs which will adjust your door movement speed to fine tune theses springs. I am assuming you have these types of springs,
now there are 3-4 different types wich you should either repost a new question or follow up with me in the comments
GoodLuck!!!

I have a Legacy 696CD-B garage door opener
sounds like either the the control board or motor gears assembly is bad. Personally I would replace with a chamberlain. You did not say how old the unit is so is it worth repairing.https://overheaddoorpartsonline.com/legacy-496cd-b-and-696cd-b/

Can I install laminated floor in my bathroom?
Laminated floors can be used in any room you would like
although there are some laminated floors that are more sensitive to moisture.
If you want to use laminated floor in your bathroom you will need to prevent
water from core material of the floor.
