There several engine kill switches, check the one under the seat, if it is disconnected it will definitely kill the engine when engaged.

Do you have a fuel shut off solenoid on the carburetor? If you do there will two wires going to a solenoid on the bottom/bowl of the carburetor. You need to make sure this is working properly. You may also have some debris or blockage in the main metering jet in the carburetor. Hope this offers some type of help.

I believe that it is a sealed unit, and the level cannot be checked.

Check for corroded terminals between the battery and starter, including at the start switch, Disconnect the battery and follow the wires, making sure that each terminal and connector is shiny and bright, Clean terminals with a fine sandpaper or emery board. Re-connect the battery and try. Please re-post if this problem persists.

Your seat safety switch is not working. If the seat switch isn't activated, ie. a person sitting on the seat, the safety system will stop the engine when the levers are engaged. There is probably only one lever safety switch, on the right lever, which is why the left one doesn't kill the engine. Check the seat switch continuity and the wiring for loose connections.

Likely there is air trapped in the system. Try raising drive wheels (safely) off the ground and operating forwards backwards. With minimal load on the hydo pump and motor, the air should purge.
