it sounds like the motor has seized. if not seized, there may be something blocking the impeller. disconnect the power and try to spin the impeller

it depends on the size of the filter. there should be a tag on the filter body that will say exactly how much to put in.

if you are using a hayward control panel, either change the timer or push the 'service' button once. if it is a seperate timer, turn off the breaker to the timer

winterizing a filter is easy. turn pump off, remove the drain plug at bottom of filter. if its a cartridge filter, remove the cartridges and clean before reassembly. on a sand filter, put the dial valve in the 'close/winterize' position.

Hi, this is John the Hayward tech. If you are now seeing the #4 fuse go that is on the low voltage side. I would guess the main circuit board. I left a manual on your other post.

Hi, this is John the Hayward tech. Sounds like the mechanical seal is leaking. If you replace the spring loaded seal the problem could be that it was installed backwards. It is ceramic against carbon. if installed the other way it will leak. Any debris or oils getting on the seal will also cause it to fail Running pump without any water will heat up the seal and cause it to fail.

if you have an universal pressure switch there is no adjustment. down turning the set point is a poor idea. this can allow the heater to run while the pool pump is only running at half prime or with less water flow. possible over temp situation can easily occur

check to see if filters are dirty or if a sand filter back wash or put on recirculate then see if more flow
