Tcl 55s425 I get the back light but no display and some vertical lines
Hi Bruce, what's going on with you TCL set is one of the COF IC's on the panel boards is shorted, that's why it blew the power fuse on the tcon, a new fuse will blow and not fix it, don't order a new board as that won't help either, the set unfortunately isn't going to be fixable as a new panel won't be available and when they were a few yrs ago they run as much as a new set.
The source does not oscillate
I think language is a problem here.
Get a flashlight and shine it at the screen. Do you see a picture? If you do, the back light has failed.

Hi, I would first download the manual for this tv. Try searching online for it. Then read to see what it says. I believe you may have to press and hold two buttons together to get the menu to appear.
