Yes that could be a problem but the only net effect is a slower speed. When you plug in the Burner does your computer detect it? Does it come up on My Computer? if it does try to do a burn using the Windows XP utility. When you open a folder you should have an option to click on write files to CD. If that works then unistall and reinstall the Nero

I'm sorry that you closed our chat early. Please try cleaning the laser lens with this little trick, get a bit of cotton and a bit of window cleaner
or disinfectant and mist the cotton with it and then clean the laser
from
the dvd. You may also try rubbing alcohol.
Let me know how this goes and if it works, I would appreciate a rating on the chat that was incompleted to receive credit for helping you out
If it doesn't work, let me know

We have a Lite On
hello I too have a lite -on dvd recorder that I liked very much and because of that reason I took mine to the the repair shop. the repair man told me that lite on uses belts that are not too durable, and upon saying so, showed me the belt from my recorder. Indeed it was small and not the most durable thing. My advise to you is if you like the recorder as I do like mine, then get the belt replaced. I feel it is the only solution.

My cdrw 32x12x40 & DVD
Hi,
Your concern could either be a hardware issue or a software configuration.
A couple of queries pls:
1. What OS; XP or Vista?
2. Were THE CD Writer and/or DVD running before and stop working or upon installation, they did not run at all not even once?
3. Have you checked the cable that attaches them to the motherboard?
4. Have you verified whether they are set to master or slave as the case maybe as to how they are attached in relation to an HD or to the other?
5. Have you tried other CD writer or DVD to confirm if the old ones are still really OK?
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.

How to restore apps the Harwa smart tv doesn't wanna open for apps
If your Harwa smart TV is having trouble opening apps, you can try a few troubleshooting steps to restore the functionality:
1. **Restart the TV**: Sometimes, simply restarting the TV can resolve temporary glitches. Turn off the TV, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
2. **Update the TV's Software**: Make sure your TV's software is up to date. Check for any available firmware updates in the settings menu of your TV. Updating the software can often fix bugs and improve performance.
3. **Clear App Cache/Data**: If specific apps are not working, try clearing their cache and data. Go to the settings menu of your TV, find the Apps section, locate the problematic app, and then clear its cache and data. This will reset the app to its default state.
4. **Check Internet Connection**: Ensure that your TV is connected to the internet and that the connection is stable. If your internet connection is weak or unstable, apps may have trouble loading or functioning properly. Try restarting your router or connecting to a different Wi-Fi network.
5. **Reset Smart Hub or App Store**: If the issue persists, you can try resetting the Smart Hub or the app store on your TV. This will restore the default settings and may resolve any issues with app functionality. Refer to your TV's user manual for instructions on how to reset the Smart Hub or app store.
6. **Factory Reset**: If none of the above steps work, you can perform a factory reset on your TV. This will restore the TV to its original factory settings, removing any customization and potentially resolving software-related issues. Keep in mind that a factory reset will erase all data and settings on your TV, so make sure to back up any important information before proceeding.
7. **Contact Customer Support**: If the problem persists after trying the above steps, you may need to contact Harwa customer support for further assistance. They can provide additional troubleshooting steps or arrange for repairs if necessary.
By following these steps, you should be able to restore the functionality of apps on your Harwa smart TV.
