Hi,Either you have to flash the mobile or get a unlock code you have to take it to the service center, because to flash and get unlock code (both) the mobile has to be connected to the computer with a cable.hope this helps,thanks!

Assuming you've tried pulling the battery and booting it again, you could try doing a hard reset on the phone (this would erase all data on the phone), by starting up the phone while holding down the volume up button while turning the phone on, waiting until you get a white screen with 3 skateboarding androids on it, and select clear storage (use the up/down volume buttons to move the cursor, power button to select), then volume up to confirm. If the phone still won't boot up after doing that, you're going to have to take it to a store, as that boot menu is the only thing that you can get to come up if it won't boot all the way up.

Hi,There are 2 ways you can update your prl's for your sprint evo 4g phone. Both require that the phone is active on the Sprint network. The easiest way is to dial *2 on and hit send. This should bring up the Sprint Zone. The Sprint Zone will run a quick diagnostics on your phones voice and data to make sure it is working. If you scroll down the page on your phone you'll see a section titled "My Device", this section allows you to update your profile and prl's if there is an update available. This section will also show you if the voice and data passed or failed the tests. If you click on update profile of if you see a message that says new prl's are available, click on either one of those and that will update them for you.The Second option is to do a manual update using the phone settings. From your home screen, push the menu button. Select "Settings". Scroll down and push "Update Phone". You will see an option "Update PRL's", push this and follow any instructions it gives you. Once the update is complete, you can return back to the home screen and use your phone as normal.

1. Turn the power off. If your HTC EVO 4G is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
2. Hold the Volume Down button
3. Press and release the Power button
4. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
6. Press and release the Power button
7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO

You can get the unlock code through online..........give your IMEI number and get the unlock code for ur mobile.... i will suggest the website Unlock-Zone.com which is doing good service .....you can approach this website. This site is nearly perfect and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums. I used them to unlock my cell phone. contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked. Hope this helps.

Hello Beth, thank you for taking the time to connect with me, and here is how i demostrate my appreciation;Talking about terms, flash is when you actually Erase all the info in the phone or put a new operating system (e.g. from android to windows or so) i think for what i read in your question that what you want to do is UNLOCK your device so you can switch companies correct?, well its very easy actually and as far as i know you dont need a computer, or mac or whatever extra device, all you need is your unlock code and your new sim card, you have to contact your old provider, ask for the code, then put your new sim card on it, your phone will say something like "no network" and there is when you start all the proccess. if you can be so kind to provide me with the company that you are quitting, i may be able to provide you more instruccions. because as you may imagine to this point they vary from company to company.
