Do you have a cable/satellite box connected to this tv?

Try this first it sounds like you have the closed caption turned on by accident.
On the remote press the MENU button.
Use the navigation keys to move the selector to CC and press OK.
This should bring up the Closed Caption sub menu.
Ensure that the closed caption is set to OFF

Why won't my new Vizio DTV work on an antenna

Do you have the antenna aimed correctly and the correct antenna for the distance between your location and the stations? Check antennaweb.org and tvfool.com for the directions to the stations you should be able to receive. Antennaweb assumes an external antenna and is very conservative in the station list. TVfool gives the stations you should get with various different types of antennas. Tall trees and buildings will block signal strength so consider the environment around you.

With digital signals, if you do not have enough signal strength for a given tuner, the channel will not come in. An amplifier may help you get the signal, particularly if the signal is shared to several devices. Failure of an amplifier or lightning surge protection can stop the signal from reaching the TV. A surge through the antenna can damage the tuner.

A damaged cable can also be a source of a problem. Check the outside portion of the wire as well as the interior wires. Replace any that have damaged insulation or ends.

For this TV, if you have done a channel scan with the TV set to the Input TV/DTV, and the Signal Source set to Antenna. Turn the antenna and then set the Additional Scan to On. (Menu > TV > Channels > Additional Scan.) Then do another channel scan.

If you need a copy of the manual, see: http://www.vizio.com/m220va.html#support .

Hooked up the tv to my existing cable and it will

Hello,

This is a fairly common issue, either the TV has the upper channels blocked or the signal in that room is just not as strong so a quick scan is passing them over. I will give you the steps to remedy both issues. If the channels show up weak or snowy or not at all after trying these steps you may need to install a booster where you current line splitter is but try these steps first as the TV can easily compensate for a slightly low signal.

Enter the TV Menu, Select TV, Select Channels, Select Master List. Look for channels with X beside them, if they have X they are blocked, simply move down the menu selecting each one to remove the X.

Now that you have verified or corrected your master list select Turn on Additional Scan from the scan menu and run a new scan. The additional scan will take a lot longer but will take more time on each channel and should find them even if the signal is a little low.

Hope this helps FixYa,

Chris

Vizio V705-H1 started having display issues. The background seems okay but words have tracers.

Check Connections: Ensure that all cables connecting your TV to external devices (such as your cable box or gaming console) are securely plugged in. Loose connections can cause display anomalies. Test Different Devices or Apps: Try using other devices or apps with your TV to see if the issue persists. If the TV's menu looks fine but a specific device is causing trouble, that device might be the culprit. Adjust Picture Settings: Navigate to the picture settings by pressing the 'Menu' button on your remote. Experiment with different picture modes. Sometimes a minor adjustment can resolve display problems. Soft Power Cycle: Unplug your TV from the power source. Press and hold the power button on the TV for about 3-5 seconds (this helps drain any residual power). Plug the TV back in and turn it on. Some TVs also have a 'Soft Power Cycle' option in their settings menu, so check there too. As you have tried a reset, that takes us to the options of contacting Vizio support and/or your warranty.

Vizio all in one computer VIZIO CA-27 voltage and part number for subwoofer/power supply replacement

The power supply/subwoofer for the VIZIO CA-27 series all-in-one PCs is identified by the part number 715G6960-P02-001-002S or ADTVE1825AC71. The power supply connects to the motherboard via a proprietary dual jack Audio/Power cable. I couldn't find specific voltage details for the subwoofer/power supply in the available resources. For precise information, I recommend checking the user manual or contacting VIZIO customer support directly.
