Registering the handset to the base station has nothing to do with your wireless router. The handset and the base act like walkie talkies. The signal from the handset must match the signal in the base station. The handset may have a reset button of its own, or a sequence you must go through to register the handset to the base. Try removing the battery from the handset and see if that will work. If not you need the manual to tell you what to do to register the hand set to the base.

I downgraded the firmware to a version back and then upgraded back to latest and it worked for me.

There are a few things that cause what you describe:1. The landline is having problems and your phone is trying to alert you so that you know not to use it2. The internet connection is having problems,3. I had the same problem with the latest firmware (Version 250). It was working perfectly earlier but this problem arose suddendly. I fixed it after many days by installing an older firmware (Version 245 in my case) and then installing the latest firmware again (Version 250).

You can install the firmware by going to:

Menu > Settings > Advanced > Firmware Update > All Firmware vers. > (select firmware version) > Install

Please make sure that you don't loose power and internet to your base station during the update. Also, your handset should be fully charged.

Do you mean the ringing tone? our the Earpiece of your RTX 3088. but since you say landline too, probably you mean ringer. so when you call out, you are able to hear them and they hear you right? I will assume that the landline is inserted in the RTX 3088 base and you are using it as a 2in1. you could have muted your set. Adjust the volume via Settings ==>Tones ==> Ring tones.

Good question but no 'make model (what it is). Base units have an antenna, make sure it is extended. Make sure the batteries in the satellite hand sets are good as they send out the signal to the base unit to be 'in range'. Not sure about the PIN request, refer to the manual. They are all online.
