Mitsubishi ws-65809 focus problem
this is is some resistors on the conversion IC or IC's that control the color alignment
these big chips should also be replaced , they are on big heat sinks and the chips indentification will be on them they start with STK followed by numbers , you can get these from an electronic parts supplier store , but make sure you get all bad resistors replaced and change any electrolitic capacitors that don't look good
here is an example and also might be your chips

Mitsubishi VS-45607
there is a protection circut that will shut down the tv when it detects a failure in one of the components , when components heat up to much they go into thermal breakdown, the part that is heating up and failing is getting worse , so it will need to be test to determine which one

Good Day;
You need to repair TV, sounds like you a convergence problem, but try this THE CONVERGENCE CAN BE RESET BY PRESSING "MENU 12598970", IF THIS DOES NOT RESET THE CONVERGENCE TRY "MENU 125968970"
Good Luck, big IRISH.
Reasonable Price Quote for Repair?
Good Day;
In my estimation you paid too much the first time. The TV is 8 years old, buy new TV. The average cost is about $650.00.

Mitsubishi TV VS-45607
Good Day;
This model is known for the front control panel going bad. You could unplug it, control panel cable, from the front of TV, by removing the speaker grill, and just use the remote.
Good Luck, big IRISH.
Do i need a new circut board???
Good Day;
I don't think so. CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 AND IC2P01 PART # 270P466020 (9-VOLT REGULATOR). BOTH ARE ON THE SIGNAL PCB.
I have repaired 50 or 60 of these.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

More than likely your TV has "COOLANT" (ethylene glycol) on the circuit boards. This fluid comes from the CRT's (picture tube) this fluid is used to keep the CRT's cool, such the name. This fluid from the CRT's leak when TV is on for long periods of time, the chamber expands and the seals leak.
One can remove this fluid by using "acetone" & small brush. The fluid is hard to see, use bright light, they spots can be smaller then a DIME. Also, the fluid can corrode the parts and traces on the boards. To protect the TV in future place heavy plastic or thick cardboard over affective area, make sure TV has proper air flow around TV.
If after the fluid has been removed and TV still does not work, call an Authorized Service Center to come out and repair TV after giving you an Written Estimate. The boards are not available.
Always try resetting the TV by unplugging it for one minute then plug back into A/C outlet and ALWAYS UNPLUG TV BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY REPAIR ON THE TV.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

GOOD DAY;
THE VS-45607 Model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. MAY BE INTERMITTENT, SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK SOLDER CONNECTIONS AT CONNECTOR "DY" ON THE YOKES. 2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK C411 2200 UFD 35 V AND C412 10 UFD 50 V, BOTH LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB.
GOOD LUCK, big IRISH.

Mitsubishi tv front panel not working
Good Day;
This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds. Or you may bad control board.
Good Luck, big IRISH.
Projection TV keeps shutting down
Good Day;
Sounds like you have a bad green picture tube that has failed. To check this out; remove front speaker grill, remove small panel, you will see three CRT's (pictue tubes) sticking down, remove the little board on the middle tube then restore power. If TV stays on more then likely the CRT is bad but not always the driver on board could also be bad, check voltages.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

Good Day;
One of these may be your problem:
1. SHUTDOWN CAN BE CAUSED BY NO VERTICAL DEFLECTION. SINCE THE VERTICAL CIRCUIT IS POWERED BY THE SWITCHED POWER SUPPLY THE UNIT MUST BE TURNED ON TO TROUBLESHOOT THE CIRCUIT. THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY TEMPORARILY DISCONNECTING THE VERTICAL INPUT TO THE X-PROTECT CIRCUIT. ** TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE CRT'S YOU MUST UNPLUG THE CRT PCB'S. ** TO DEFEAT THE X-PROTECT CIRCUIT, UNSOLDER D4A1 LOCATED OFF THE COLLECTOR OF Q4A1. IF THE UNIT POWERS ON AT THIS POINT, YOU HAVE CONFIRMED A VERTICAL FAILURE AS THE CAUSE FOR SHUTDOWN. ** D4A1 MUST BE REINSTALLED IN CIRCUIT TO PREVENT CRT DAMAGE. ** 2.CHECK PIN 1 OF IC401 FOR 10.7VDC. IF LOW OR MISSING CHECK FOR SHORTED D4000 LOCATED OFF PIN 1. (PCB-MAIN) D4000 PART #264P487030 3. CHECK PIN 8 OF IC401 FOR 27.7VDC. IF MISSING CHECK FOR OPEN D955 AND L961 AT S1 TERMINAL OF T902. (PCB-POWER) D955 PART #264P102040 L961 PART #411P012010 4. CHECK FOR DEFECTIVE IC401. IC401 PART #272P239040, OR INSTALL PT# IC-401, THIS KIT CONTAINS CAPACITOR C920, D4000 AND IC401. BE SURE TO MOUNT C920 ON FOIL SIDE OF PCB. 5. EXCESSIVE 130V SUPPLY. CHECK C911 47 UFD 100 V AND C914 47 UFD 50 V, IN THE IC900 CIRCUIT.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

clean it out it is over heating, use a air hose to blow all the dust out
Channel volume
Make sure that the sound setting in the menu are NOT set on SAP. The sound should be set on stereo. Use the mitsubishi remote to pull up the menu then go to the audio portion and look for that setting. If you need more help or it is set on stereo let me know and we can go further.

Projection TV mirror
Good Day, Hazardsneon;
A cracked mirror will have GREAT influence on the quality of your picture and will look like the TV is experiencing a convergence problem. Good Luck, big IRISH.
Picture is Rolling..stops after some warm-up
I have seen this many times. There is a 9 volt regulator on the small signal board that causes this. The regulator goes bad and the 9 volts starts dropping, especially at start-up when the regulator is cold. If the voltage is below 8 volts then the picture gets dark and the vertical becomes unstable, with the picture squeezing down and/or rolling. As the regulator warms up the voltage starts rising back towards 9 volts and the symptoms start clearing up. There are 3 regulators in a row on the board and the regulator in the middle is always the bad one. Replacing that regulator should cure your problems but it should be replaced by someone experienced in servicing Mitsubishi projection TV's because pulling the chassis out is quite tricky.
