I haven't been able to get mine out, but I can get to it. There is a shield held on by two fly nuts. It is right behind the seat and on the opposite side of the mower than the lever that engages the blade.

After the shield is removed, there is a black wire running to the top of the spark plug you should be able to pull it off.

Then you'll need a spark plug socket and an extension. I think it may be a 13/16 size socket that you will need. Turn gently back and forth till you get it out.

check the safety switch on the clutch/brake edal
