How do you adjust the steering toe on a L130 lawn

The L130 off of the show room floor does not have adjustable drak link / tie rods.

One of the 300 hour inspections is to inspect the steering pivot bushings. You jack up the front from the center and check for play of the pivot bushings by teetering the tie at the 6 and 12 oclock positions. If you get a lot of movement the bushings are bad. If the bushings are ok (I doubt they are) then you can also add adjustable tie rods

They are more expensive at JD ($66.00)

Just note the pivot bushings do NOT show up on any JD diagram but they do exist. Check with JD parts. They most likely know the PN from memory.

John deere 145 toe in adjustment

Adjust by measuring between the wheels {metal rim} at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions. I.e, halfway point on the rim at the front and rear. You can measure between the tire, but it is more difficult to get a good, repeatable measurement. If it were an MTD, you could adjust the toe by bending the tie rod/ drag link.tom

My john deere L111 riding lawnmower starts fine

I had this same problem with my John Deere LA140. I suspected that it was some sort of fuel delivery problem. Long story short, it turned out to be the gas cap was not venting properly, creating a vacuum in the fuel tank. The temporary fix was to loosen the cap when it starts to die. This relieves the vacuum and allows the gas to flow again. Installing a new cap on the tank fixed the problem.
