Mulch insert frequently gets clogged and mower stops running. I have to turn over the mower and use a stick or similar garden tool to clear out grass from around the mulch insert once EVERY pass.

Dear Sandi, If I read your missive correctly, I believe your mower is too small for this task. It would appear to me you could do one of 2 things. 1) mow it more frequently , before the grass grows so tall, ( like maybe 2-3 times a week,) or get a bigger and stronger mower. Remember too, electric mowers are not usually very strong, but gasoline engine mowers , some are so strong they can mow a forest! .God bless your efforts.

The mower does nothing

Battery may not hold a charge. Even if a battery shows it's charged on the charger you may have a faulty battery. This is a common happening.

I HAVE A BLACK AND DECKER CMM1200 LAWN MOWER AND

There is not any kind of bolt holding the lower handle in. The left lower handle has a spring attached to it that eases raising and lowering the deck. Remove the spring and slide the handle out of the plastic deck. You can use a wrench to get some leverage and just twist it back and forth until it slides out. You can probably use liquid dish soap or something similar to slide the replacement back in.

How do I repair height adjustment on a CMM1200?

The front wheels link to the height adjustment controlled at the right rear wheel. The spring loaded link arm attaches to a pin on the height adjustment control. The link arm has come off the pin.Tools: Long shaft bladed screwdriver and a pry bar.Adjust the rear height adjustment so the second to last notch is engaged.Position yourself with one knee on the front deck. This will allow you to control the height of the front and the back-n-forth movement of the link arm.Position the pry bar with the short "L" section upwards, under the lawnmower. This will allow you to control the side-to-side position of the link arm.Insert the screwdriver from the rear of the lawnmower. The rear wheel axle can be used for leverage This will allow you to control the up-and-down position of the control arm.A little perseverance and you will be able to position the link arm back on the pin. It may be useful to remove the plastic cover of the lawnmower to allow a better view of the mechanism and link arm 8_16_2012_5_59_00_pm.jpg8_16_2012_5_59_19_pm.jpg
