How do i turn on screen saver?

Set listed here does not have one---if using HD avoid using the 4X3 (narrow picture left to right) as the borders if left on too long with contrast too high will burn the tubes. The Default settings on the set listed here are if set unplugged and plugged in : Contrast 100%---this is what burns in images left stationary too long--never have contrast (picture) set above 75 percent.

When I turn tv on

hi sir good day here is my solution, since your unit is turn on then turn off you need to check first the power supply look for shorted component at the same time capacitors with bulging on top to its casing it cause a voltage drop. replaced it with the same value a panasonic FM or FC series much better with low ESR. you can find replacement parts at www.digikey.com. now check also the ballast board for the lamp which cause the clicking if their is a bad component here the board will turn off then their is no picture.hope this may help thanks for consulting us feel free to ask further question.

The picture on my tv

The problem of your tv is the convergence. Use the original remote then go to setting menu then you will see the convergence section. Try to adjust the color, you should move them left, right and up,down. If this color does't move far enough the convergence chip is defective and must be replace. This convergence chip is located inside the tv t has a large aluminum plate cold the hit sink and the chip has a marking of STK---followed by numbers if you are handy in electronic trouble shooting I can guide you but be sure to unplug the unit first or you can contact a technician to do it for and save you from stress. Good day and best regards.

My TV color has yellow, blue and red shadows n the picture.

Enter Service mode.. Press Menu -0-1-5-7 in quick succession . From there select the convergence option. You should see 3 crosshairs -Red, Blue and Green. Green is fixed but Red and blue can be moved. Align both of them with green and see if the issue resolves. If not Try moving them around and see if the problem is cleared. If not you may have the inevitable convegence IC problem and the IC needs to be replaced. Let me know if that is the case and I will give you the procedure.

The image is distorted. Both the top and bottom

You have bad convergence ICs. There are two of these and replace them using the same stock number. You will have to inspect and measure resistors and replace as needed. Please see TVRepairKits.com. They may have a repair kit for you!

When I turn on my big screen, I see the input

This sounds like a convergence problem.

In the customer menu with the Mitsubishi remote select convergence and then advanced. You should see a grid of lines yellow in color.

If red or blue lines appear and are skewed and out of place you have found your problem.

I have step by step start to finish instructions for this type of repair in MOST OF THESE MODELS.

Let me know if it looks anything at all like the attached photos.

Found the leaking fluid problem that has apparently killed my set

Well, give this a shot. That fluid is ethylene-glycol which is water soluable. Pull the board with the fluid stain on it and wash it with water and dry thoroughly with a hair dryer. This works 90% of the time. Then put some kinda plastic sheet up by the leak to prevent it from leaking on the board again.

Mitsubishi ws48313 error code 22

that usually refers to either a diode or transistor in the xray protection circuit. There are only about 8 or 9 components that can cause that you will need the service manual to isolate which components make up that protection circuit. If you do have the service info and would like it I can post a link where you can get the mitsubishi service manual emailed to you cheaper than anywhere else on line.

Error code 22 on a Mitsubishi WS-55907 55'' HDTV

your set is the V17 series so a code 22 means short protect. Which means the TV has a short circuit condition and is shutting down to prevent further damage. You can get a manual for the V17 sereis at the following link for 15.99 and they will provide free unlimited support to help you with the diagnosis and locating parts. Your set is coverd in the V17 sereis service manual under the mitsubishi section. Here is the link in case youd like the service manual and free support.
