yes!
When you turn set on and power light goes out do the self check this set has.
On front of set when light goes out press and hold both the Menu and Input (device) buttons at the same time and hold both for at least five seconds and then release both.
Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks,2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.
Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means. Make a comment here and I will assist you.

Hi,
one blink pause and then 2 blinks is a "12" on error code list which means there's no error detected by the processor.
To double check the error code lets access the "Error code operational check". Follow the steps below.
Turn on the unit and then wait after the blinking led light stopped from flashing and then push the front panel "INPUT" and "MENU" buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds, activates the Error Code Mode. The LED flashes denoting a two digit Error Code. Example if the error code is "22", the led will blink 2 times pause and then blinks 2 times and repeat the cycle 5 times.
Please let me know the error code.

Hi,
2 blinks pause then 2 blinks is an error code for "Shorts Protect". Most of the shorted parts came from the power supply section (voltage regulator IC/transistor, Diode) and in the convergence circuitry (STK chips/IC). You must know how to test these parts for shorts to isolate it from the board. Pico fuses must be check for continuity even connected from the board using the multimeter.
If you found open fuse, trace this line, a shorted parts is connected across this line from the ground.
Another parts to be check is the fusible resistors(low resistance resistors) they act like a fuse also, cuts when shorts is in the circuitry to avoid further damaged.
If you don't have necessary tools and test instrument and can't troubleshoot the unit yourself, I would advice you to look for a qualified tv technician to troubleshoot the unit.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!

Projection TV sets have two very common problems. One is convergence ( 3D/Warped video) the other is CRT fluid ( Dull Video). Here are more details and solutions for both. Repair kits with instructions are also avail from www.TvRepairKits.com
Common Problem #1) Convergence has gone out
Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.
This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.
Common Symptoms include....
- Screen looks 3D
- Colors don't line up
- One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
- Screen is bowed or warped.
- TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.
Here are some pics of convergence problems.

Common Problem #2) CRT Fluid is Cloudy
Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

Either screw a coaxial cable from wall plate to tv, or install a cable box and use A/V cables from box to tv.
