My mitsubishi wd-y65 has sound but screen is black

You are SURE the lamp is good....well...if you say so. However, it sounds like you have made audio connection but no video connection (or lost it or is incorrectly set). Try other input modes. See if you an bring up "setup". If so...you screen/lamp is working.

New Lamp turning off after 5 seconds

1. (Lamp may light and go out) suspect bad lamp part # 915P020010 2. Check for 12-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 4 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check for an open F9A09 on the Power PCB, if it is open replace F9A09 part # 283P127060 and the Light Engine part # 939P977010 3. (Lamp may light and go out) Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if low or missing check C9A37 and C9A38 both 3300 UFD 10 V part # 181P732040 on the Power PCB (part # 930B921002) 4. At power on the lamp turns on and off three times and then the unit shuts down with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Replace the Light Engine part # 939P977010 5. Lamp enable line at J14 pin 6 does not switch to 5 volts after turn on, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010 6. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on and does go to 0-volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Lamp Power PCB (ballast) part # 939P978010 7. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on but does not go back to 0-volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. I have a Samsung HLM5065W. The picture went out but there was still sound. No Lights on or flashing on the front. I unpluged the set let it sit for awhile then plugged it back in. Everything came on

Try searching for a possible "factory reset" for this brand. It will be a secret set of buttons on the remote to enter the default reset menu. I hope that gets you something to try. BTW you should have the original remote or a universal remote with all buttons communicating with the tv to do this. ie numbers, menu, up, down, left, right...

I have a mitsubishi wd-52525 tv and just replaced the lamp but the picture does not look as bright as before. no settings have been changed.

Try "initializing" a "factory reset" power on the tv then on the remote "menu 1,2,3 enter". Start the reset to default and see if the new refreshed settings help.

When i plug in hdmi cable to the wd52525 there is no hdmi imput on the device page. can't get it to work

If it is not there or grayed out you may have to try the soft reset first--set also has a hard one but only to be used as last resort.Soft one: set on, menu,1,2,3 enter.

How to know if your Mitsubishi lamp is broken

Unless you examine it or it is shattered inside the only way to know is replace it----set should have a blinking light but does not always have that----set does have a self check if you want to try that--will work even if lamp is bad--give you a blink error code.

Wd52525 yellowish color when static. Menu has some pixelation. Colors are off.

It does not matter---these sets are so bad (this one) they sell the entire chassis or the light engine which has the color wheel in it and last time I looked the wheel does not come unless you buy the engine.

How can I clean the lamp lenses on my Mitsubishi WD-55857 rear projection TV

I would not attempt that if I were you----The lamp itself has a glass lens but any touching will shorten its life---this set also has a optical lens at the top of the light engine but it rarely if ever needs cleaning.

Mitsubishi wd60735 code 37

A 37 error code means one of your fans is bad. It would either be the DMD fan, or the lamp fan. Take the back cover off of the set and tape down your lamp safty switch. Turn the TV on and see which fan is not working, and replace.

Blinking green light

If you own the model WD-52525 it and the sets made around the same time are all junk----falling apart as we speak and nothing seems to help make a good repair on them.Blinking green light is called "blinking light of death" and I did not coin that phrase but it is accurate. The green light up front that blinks is the Digital unit in the set trying to boot up----one of the many nasty problems this set can have. Not fixable in the home and in my view not economical to repair for any reason---if you want to see some of the other issues this set has Google the model number with "problems" and be prepared to read for a while.
