Tv will not turn on

when the green blinking light won't stop you have a bad dm module, it's about $800 just for the part. you could take it apart and try changing the big 1000 micrfarad at 16v capacitors on the dm board, but this almost never works on dlp's, and taking this tv apart to fix it is a major job, you need alot of money and a tv repairman to fix this.

Wd 62725 timer light keeps blinking

The Chassis Assembly needs to be sent to Mitsubishi for refurbishing. Call 1800-332-2119 and the Customer Service Department will help you contact a local service facility to you remove the Chassis and reinstall it when completed. They most likely also will help with the cost of the repair. When you call them , have the model # and Serial # . This repair would normally cost about 850.00. If they help with the cost, you would probly look at around 350.00.
I hope this helps,

I have a wd-62725 when I use the white

THIS model(2004) has an option menu which allows a hard reset of the entire set--set will shut of and come back on at channel 3 in the air mode--means you have to put it to the cable mode and autoprogram it and any labels you placed on inputs will be gone.

If you want to know how to try this give me a vote here--I do this for free---just reply here

Blinking green timer light. Won't reset

Hi,
actually your TV resets everytime you unplugg it and the green light should blink for 70 seconds, if it does not stop blinking there is a problem with either the power supply or any part of the signal circuit. on the 62525 model I have had great success replacing the capacitors on the power supply, they will look swollen on top, usually the (4) 1000mf at 35volts , the power supply is on the left side when facing the back , Mitts uses a lot of screws and plugs, but if you are good at taking things apart you can attempt is and save the $300-400 a servicer will charge.

Load fan Noise from back of WD 6275 when turned off

If it is similar to other 60+ inch Mitsubishi tv's...then the fan can be removed ONLY after the back (plastic) trim (side-to-side!) is removed. Generally this is very easy to remove (a bunch of phillips screws) and the fan is connected to this trim. Remove all 4 screws for the fan and (after removing the plastic rear trim) the fan can be serviced, cleaned, repaired, or replaced. Note: if this fan is VERY dirty...please inspect any other air path (such as for the lamp) or other filter inlets...and CLEAN THEM VERY WELL.

At first, it appeared as though tracking were off,

The horizontal sync circuit is the most probable culprit, but it could be the sync signal output from the video demodulator.

Random flashing streaks on screen

Check multiple inputs and multiple sources. Check your dvd player; does it happen there? If not, you are probably right to suspect the cable box.

When you are checking multiple inputs, you want to make sure that if your cable box uses component or HDMI, that you check your DVD player on the same style input.

The reason for this is that your electrical chassis treats the analog (composite, s-video) inputs different from the HD and digital inputs (component, DVI, HDMI).

If you try your DVD player and cable box on the same input and experience the same probelm, you probably need to have the electrical chassis rebuilt in order to fix a problem on the tv's FMT board.

Cost: $800+
Wait time: 4-8 weeks.

Blinking green light no pic

Hi Stan,

the blinking green lights is usually called The Blinking Light of Death

There is nothing much else you can do.

The problem is some swollen capacitors on the 5v line keep the microprocessor from booting up (the 5v is supplied to the micro).

The repair should not be over $250 to replace those 4 capacitors on the DM board/module.

They had a huge run of these sets with bad caps.

You cant do a error test because the micro won't boot. I'm afraid your options here are limited to calling for service.

be aware you can kill you tv by trying DIY, but click here for your fix.
similar tv, same problem, I'd leave it up to a pro though.

I have a WD62725 with

This is a a very frequent problem that occurs in Mitsubishi rear-projection widescreen HDTV's, referred to as "The Blinking Green light of Death". This refers to the green LED on the front panel of the TV that normally blinks when turned on after a power failure or when unplugged: the green light is supposed to flash for about 1 minute while both microprocessors boot up: If it won't stop blinking it means that they aren't communicating w/each other.

To fix this problem, you basically have replace the four (apparently inadequate) 1000uF/16 volt power supply capacitors in the "DM module" (one of the two onboard microprocessors). These capacitors are apparently undersized, in that they will eventually fail (usually after about 3 years) if and inevitably when there are voltage fluctuations in the circuit above 16 volts. (If you Google: "Mitsubishi + Blinking Green Light of Death", it's amazing how many other Mitsubishi rear-projection TV owners have experienced this problem.) It is recommended to install either 1000uF/25 volt or 1000uF/35 volt capacitors as replacements, so that they will be more than ample to handle any voltage spikes that will occur. If you have no expertise in electronic work, then find someone that does, hopefully a friend and this will be a cheap fix for you (under $10 for the parts). Make sure everything taken off is put back on, many times people forget to reinstall the back cover plate for the DM module, which has critical grounding straps essential to the proper functioning of the DM module. After all of this, the tv should work. Let me know how it turns out.

I thought the lamp had gone out on my Mitsubishi

if is not under warranty then you should buy a new tv. i had 3 lamps, 1 light engine, and they are currently rebuilding the chasis for the second time. i got my tv in 12/04 and got the 5 yearextended warranty THANK GOD! they are spending more time/money to keep repairing this pos than its worth. they could have gotten me a new model and saved everone the hassle. i would not recommend repairing it.
good luck
