Blinking green light on Mitsubishi will not turn off
The capacitors on the DM board need replacement, thats a common problem it will work fine but if power is loss even for a minute the capacitor drain, then they cant recharge since they need replacement so the set will just keep blinking the timer light. Installing the V26 DM repair kit from
www.tvrepairworld.com will usually repair that. The kit contains the Replacement caps and the CD with detailed instructions.
I have horizontal lines and flickering picture
I had the same problem a year ago. Turned out that the main chassis was bad. Had to have it rebuilt for $550. Was working perfectly until the recent problem with the set turning itself off just started.
Tv is now 3 yrs
The lamp will not create this problem.
If you get diagonal wavy lines moving on the screen, that is a faulty component on digital board or a problem with inputs.
Check all the input cables.
Go to TV display settings and lower down resolution to 720p.
Try leaving the TV disconnected from power for one or two hours. This
will discharge internal capacitors and can fix some minor problem.
Connect a different device to TV, using a different cable and input port, and see if you still get the problem.
If all that did not help, then the TV must be taken apart and tested by a technician.
In that case I suggest calling Mitsubishi at the phone number listed on the owner manual.
Try first the test above, and lower down resolution to 720p.
Regards.
Picture went out completely flashing red status
Most likely the lamp is burnt out (indicator goes to constant red status). Replace lamp (get lamp P/N from User Manual for replacement), clean any dirt around lamp, fan, and rear filter. Do NOT get any fingerprints on new lamp.
Horizontial lines and picture deteroration
This one is tough. Can be either the DM module, formatter board or optics block assy. Check for bad capacitors first in DM module, then signal board then formatter board. If your lucky, bad capacitors maybe what it is. If not, a new optics block is what you'll be needing.
Mitsubishi wd-62825 dlp
The WD62825 has a Digital Module located on the left side of the chassis looking at it from the rear of the set. It's housed in a metal box that can slide out of its holder after removing the trim screws.
The module has its own power supply board and there are a group of 16v/1000uf caps on that board which commonly fail causing the constant flashing standby light. Further back on the module is a small board about the size of a matchbook called the E2P module. Its SMT (Surface Mount Technology) caps also commonly fail which can cause the same symptoms. Techs can tell whether the E2P has failed by simply removing it, hooking the DM back up and trying to power the set. If it powers on the picture won't be much good - but at least you can tell what's keeping it down...
Back to the caps on the pwr board. If they've failed they usually will buldge visibly on top. And ESR is almost not necessary. In any event that's the nuts and bolts on this model.
Is it a job for a layman? Yes and no - you might strongly consider a tech if you don't feel comfortable removing all the connections that the DM has with the signal board. There are about six - multi-pin - wired connections to unplug and then sliding the DM out of the unit and carefully removing the screws and latching to take the DM top cover off...
Hope this helps.

We have a Mitsubishi DLP
Bad signal board, DM module and or formatter board. Try replacing the signal board first. About 50% of my fixes with flashing timer LED was solved by signal board replacement. If this doesn't work, then try replacing the formatter board. And if still don't work, then DM module must be replaced.
Mitsubishi don't have a real answer behind these failures. I know and I've tried. Do have two of them just came in my possesion for repairs. One has same problem and just put in order for new signal module.
Lamp
you need to make sure your fans, and vents are kept clean, if they cant cool the lamp properly, it will make the lamp go out faster, also change your setting in the menue to power save, or low power, saves on lamp time
Im tryn
looking at the rear of the set it is on the left side. it si marked mono-link. remember this is only a 1080i set.
Green timer light
I have the same problem with the green flashing light. We have had the chassis rebuilt by Mitsubishi which took 41/2 months to get done. Now i am told after it went out again that it will take the same amount of time. By the way the TV only worked for about 90 days after they rebuilt the chassis. I am going to push for Mitsubishi to replace this as this has happened twice now. and for those of you who own this TV they are not cheap. I will keep you posted with what happens. or if I own a 5000.00 paper weight.
