You should have a service technician come look at the machine. sc542 is a fuser code, which could mean that a thermostat was blown, or it could be a dirty or defective thermistor. A Ricoh technician will be able to inspect the fuser and make that determination, and hopefully get you up and running right away!

SC 350 relates to problem of ID or image density sensor, first of all clean it with IP and check if problem persists go to SP mode and check in input check under modes,replace sensor if found defective,if problem resolves but recurs again check for toner flying and developer and drum life, chances of sensor failure are very less.

machine needs drum and developer, but a temporary fix would be...open front door near notice green handle where toner is replaced, look to the right of green handle and down about 2 or 3 inches, you should see a plastic or chrome cover the size of a postage stamp, remove the cover and you should see a 3/4 inch wide piece of glass barely sticking out, carefully grasp the glass and pull it out of machine, wipe the toner off the glass , put glass back in and replace cover , shut front cover and run copies .

Obtain a copy of the instructions and map for your particular copier so you can locate the proper levels and drawers.

Release the main level outside the copier below the copying screen and pull open the front copier door gently. You should be able to see all the paper and storage drawers.

Locate the toner lever and release the locking switch. It is often differently colored from the other levers inside the copier.

Slide open the small compartment and remove the entire toner cartridge from the machine.

Pull out the drum cartridge from inside the toner cartridge. It should be secured directly inside the toner cartridge.

Open the new drum cartridge, taking care not to touch the sides of the drum. Doing so will spread ink all over your fingers. Slide the new drum into the slot where the empty drum was located. When the new drum cartridge is secured into the drum frame, you'll hear a click.

Place the toner cartridge back into the machine, secure the toning cartridge lock, and close the copier door.

Confirm the presence of a new drum cartridge on the main LCD screen when prompted.

DO U HEAR NOISY WHEN THE COPIER IS RUNNIN? IF YES...CHECK THE DEVELOPING UNIT MAYBE HAS PROBLEM IN LOWER DEVELOPING UNIT

Maybe you meant photoconductor there is no web in copier. Or you got wrong model of copier

Are you a tech? I suspect not. You need to remove the drum unit, disassemble, separate the drum from the development unit. Remove cover of developer unit, add developer, reassemble, and run SP2214 to calibrate.
This is NOT a procedure to be performed by an end user...no disrespect intended.
