hold the red button in and swich unit on or put power in. it will reset but this models where the best but. if the rest do not help. it is time for a new one.

if your fax model is not sf-5100p it can't be used on a pc. the p is for printing

the fax is going but not coming i check the system setup please any boldy he know about system please tell me in detail how select and which is select

replace toner

Most printers/faxes need more than one or two sheets of paper in the hopper in order for printing to commence. If it's not that, take out all paper. Turn off the printer/fax. Wait five minutes and turn printer/fax back on. With some printers/faxes, that almost acts like a re-boot. Good luck!

see if the tel line is in the black plug. and see if you got a dial tone. if not test line whit other phone. if no tone. fone your provider.

take the power out hold the red stop button in and put the power back.if that do not work the main board is foulty.

Open the door take the cartridge out clean the roller at the back with dishwasing liquit and see if there is no paper stuck in unit. put ther cartridge back and take the power out and hold the red stop button in and put power back.

if you toner is empty replace it.if you replaced it and it still say emty do the following

you will go in service mode.if you push menu agian scroll unterl you find cartridge egnor swich on fax off and on all will be ok

did you replace the fuse in the cartridge.remove it.

take the power out. hold the red button in and put the power back. this will reset the m/c

take the new cartrige out. you will see there is a fuse on it. take it out and put new fuse any amp. put the cartridge back and close the door for 2 sec. take the cartrige out and remove the fuse. put it back in. it should work.if not push setup#1934set up againyou will find under the setup a toner egnore put it on.and swich unit off and on.

check ring volume

I presume the machine has its own telephone line. Lift the handset and make a telephone call. Can they hear you ok? Can you hear them OK? If both ok then have them ring the fax and you answer it with the handset. Can they hear you ok? Can you hear them ok? or can you hear crackle on the line or any other strange high frequency noises? If you hear these noises then your telephone company will need to clean the line. Thats usually why this problem arises. the SF5100 was Samsungs best fax in my opionion. It did not suffer from any problems except wear and tear like all machines.

take the power out. hold the stop (red button) in and old it in put the power back. this is a factory reset.

take the cartridge out. in the middel you will see a black roller at the back. clean it with soap.if the rubber has cracks in replace the rubber.

you will see there is a fuse on the cartridge. replace it with a new one. it can be biger becouse you will remove it again.put the cartrige back with other fuse and close door for 3 secons. take cartridge out and remove the fuse.put cartrige back with out the fuse. it sould work. the other way is to push setup and then # 1934. push setup again check for new cartrige or egnore cartrige.swich m/c off and on.
