If the child lock is on, the selector will do nothing. press and hold it for 3 seconds or so and it'll unlock. Hope this is your problem. Best to you.

Make sure dryer vent is clear.

Replace element if it’s bad.

Could be control board, or a fuse or thermostat, or improper voltage.

Check door switch and thermal fuse

Is Washer alone plugged into outlet? Unplug washer and try plugging something else in. Does anything else plugged into that outlet trip the breaker? Also Washer should be only thing that runs on that outlet. Breaker could be bad. If breaker is serotonin be good, take Washer back as you said it was new.

You shouldn’t try to turn drum by hand. It can cause belt to come off

Take the top off and start the dryer, if igniter is working you can clearly see the orange glow from it as it ignites the gas. The process starts many seconds after you push start. The gas heating cycles off and on so the igniter needs to work many times thru a cycle of drying.

Check for broken drum belt

Most pedestals are universal in width and depth dimensions as long as mounting holes line up. Dryer not hot enough is probably a ventilation problem.

Try running the cleaning cycle to see if that works.

Sounds like the bearings on the fan are dragging and causing the thermal switch to cut it off after a short spin, due to overheating. That would indicate a bad fan. The 'nearly broken' wire could possibly cause a low voltage that could damage the fan also. Try replacing the fan and see if that solves the problem. The fact that you had to clean out the ducting, means the heat was building up for some time and could also have caused the fan problem that just finally appeared. The overheating can also cause a thermal fuse and thermostat to go bad or get weak. Keep a look out for those issues.

Try buying a long handled short bristle cheap artist's brush and gently clean inside the housing. Probably a chunk of lint thinks it's found a new home.

Will not what??

Either of these: 1. Air flow is blocked 2. Heating element is not working totally or not at all. Check airflow for strong flow. If not. Unblock check airflow for heating. If hot then heating element is working. If not hot, check heating element issue,ie, reset hi temp thermistor, check other thermistors, check heating element for continuity. Report back what you find.
