Lg dryer doesn't turn on

Having changed the main control board, the only other things to check are as follows: Thermal Fuse, Door switch, Drive motor, Drive belt and Belt switch. These can cause a non-start situation.

Dryer continues to run past the preset time.

If you are not running the load on "Time Dry", the machine will automatically use the sensor dry settings. Meaning that it automatically adjusts dry time with the dampness of the load. If you look near the time window you will notice that it says "est. time remaining". If you would like to have the unit run for just 20 minutes use the time dry button you will notice the dryness level light will turn off. The means your unit does not care how wet or dry the clothes are it will just run for 20 minutes. Hope this helped explain things.

Making a roaring noise when

Hi damaestrogk....

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your problem sounds like drum rollers are in need of lubrication.
Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots they will make a thumping type of noise or if there is too much wear on them replace them.
If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil, or a light lubricant like Vaseline.
Reassemble the dryer.
Plug back into your electrical receptical.
This should solve your noise problem.
