Battery

This is the procedure for solving consider replacing your battery problem. Start by running the command prompt with administrator privileges. This will give the full control over the command prompt. There are those commands that can only be executed when you are using the command prompt with administrator privileges. Change the destination path showing on the command prompt to be set to C:\ then type the command POWER -ENERGY( to change destination path to C:\, type CD\ ). This command will make the computer scan the battery status and after 60 seconds, a report will be generated and saved in C:\. Simply open the energy report and scroll to check the battery information. Look for the design capacity and the last full charge, note the difference in this figures. For my laptop, these were the details Battery Information Battery ID: Hewlett-PackardPrimary Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard Chemistry: LION Design Capacity: 88800 Last Full Charge: 36467To remove the message consider replacing battery fully charge your laptop battery then unplug the charger to use the laptop on battery power. Use it until the laptop to automatically shut down. Still with the charger unplugged, power on the laptop again. Do this until the battery is totally empty. Now plug in your charger and charge the battery fully. Then perform the commands steps again by running the POWER -ENERGY command. Make sure you note the differences in the last full charge details. I have an Acer Aspire 5738 with built in webcam(crystal eye) that has stopped working. I assume its a driver problem, my device manager shows one error Windows has stopped this device because it has r

Crystal Eye is a webcam application included with some Acer laptops. Laptops that have the Crystal Eye WebCam application installed also have a camera built in to the monitor. Crystal Eye can adjust the camera's brightness, contrast and color intensity, and capture photos. If you removed the Crystal Eye WebCam application from your Acer laptop on accident, you can download the software from the Acer website and reinstall the application to your PC. Click "Start." Click "Control Panel." Input "device" into the search box. Click "Device Manager." Expand "Imaging Devices." Double-click the Web camera to find the name of the manufacturer. Go to Acer Support. Select "Notebook" from the "Select Your Product" menu. Select the notebook's product line, then select its product model. Click "Confirm." Click the "Applications" tab. Select an operating system from the "Operating Systems" drop-down menu on the far right. Scroll to "Camera." Download "WebCam Application." Use the manufacturer information found in Device Manager to determine which vendor to download from. Save the file to the desktop. Double-click the file to run the setup for the Crystal Eye WebCam. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Acer support http://support.acer.com/us/en/default.aspx Click start control panel view devices and printers you should see your webcam from there if you are have trouble with your webcam Click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down image devices you could see a yellow question mark? right click to reinstall drivers or update driver xp Click start right click on computer select properties device manager scroll to image devices expand right click to update driver in W7 http://download.cnet.com/2000-20_4.html on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for IE: webcam name webcam driver you might have to try a few times to get it right software if you dont have the driver you will need to download one here rather doing a driver hunt which can take hours http://download.cnet.com/slimdrivers-free/3000-18513_4-75279940.html Windows XP/Vista/7/8 It might take some time being a freeware driver solution note: it will find all of your outdated drivers this is a free driver solutions This will automatically search for and find the correct driver you will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you want to restart or make a system restore point click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right. But is does not harm to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date. But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing. Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c - Windows Vista: DirectX 10). http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Which-version-of-DirectX-is-on-your-computer

You have to verify exactly what type of memory to use. Also, it is possible that it isn't seated properly. However, I'm unsure if you are referring to 2 of the same model computers you are trying the memory in. Make sure that the laptop can use more than 2GB RamYou must first verify the limitations of the mother board, or computer model before upgrading.

How to solve heating and shutdown problem while playing games or ani media

OverheatingWhen the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail. A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan. If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.
