error modem profile not set appears when your Verifone VX 570 modem profile is not properly loaded or has been errased due to Tamper error or Bad RTC. Reloading back the modem profile will sometimes fix the error, but there is also a chance that your I/O module (form where you connect the power and telephone wire) is also bad, thats needs to be repaired or replaced. The software needed to remove "tamper" is a product that can be acquired from verifone. The problem is verifone has very strict requirements that has to be met before they will sell the software. you can only remove this with the company that put it on your terminal. it is hardcoded and can be removed that way only

there is no ink in this terminal it is thermal so it burns the image on the paper. make sure you buy thermal credit card paper. scratch the paper if a faint black line appears it is thermal this should be the side of the paper that is load to the bottom of the tray

you need to check if the internet in your office that connects to the terminal is working. you may also need to reboot your system or do a partial download to connect to vmac. try unplugging for 1 min. then replug and see if this clears it. if it does not and you have transactions in your terminal you will need to call merchant services to assist you or you will lose those sales. try rebooting your internet modem and plugging it back in, unplug terminal power remove Ethernet cable reboot your modem plug in Ethernet, then power and see if that works
