I have forgotten my wifi
In order to get your router back to the original settings, you must push
in the reset button (usually on the back of the router) for somewhere
between 10 and 30 seconds depending on the router. You may need a pin or
something small to push in the button, because it can be recessed. Once
you have reset the router, the username and password will be changed to
the defaults, admin and password, respectively. One thing you must
remember is that resetting the router will change all of the router
settings back to the factory settings. This means you will lose all of
the changes you made since you got the router. Make sure to write down
any things you've changed, so you can change them back after the reset.
Also, I recommend updating to the latest firmware after the reset.

How to install password for router itself and
First
you have to access the router through web browser (Internet Explorer)
by typing the IP address of your router in the address bar, which is
usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 (written at the back of router and lookup for the options to do the
following: -
1. Change the SSID (Name) of the router
2. Change the default administrative user name and password (unless you've configured otherwise, the default username is admin and the password password.)
(The above step would prevent unauthorized access to your router)
Next step is to secure it:
1. Go to "Wireless Settings" and "Security Options", select your desired encryption method (preferably
WPA2-PSK)
3.Choose a Network Key - it can be anything, as long as it's 8-63 characters in length
4. Click Apply
Now your router and your connection would become secure and the user has to provide the network key to access the internet.

I purchased your product,(router1000) Hughes Net
It is looking for a NetWork Key or password that was set up when your router was installed. That network key protects your network from some one else connecting to your network. You can reset your router where it will forget that network key and when you start it back up it will be an open network not needng a password, but you are going to have to learn how to enter your router's set uo menu and replace that factory setting with another key. Take a look at:
http://www.linksysbycisco.com/UK/en/support/E1000/download and down load what ever you need. You also should read the manual, you can down load if you want to.

I need the password and
The defaults are a blank user name, and the password is "admin." The IP address is 192.168.1.1 which should give you the logon screen.
Resetting is the only real option for you, but setting up using the web interface is not that difficult, especially if you have done it before.
Hope that's helpful.

Help!
I need to set the
If you cant find the password or remember it you'll have to do a hard reset on your router.
You can do a hard reset by plugging it in, locating the small hole on the bottom or side with possiblitly the words reset next to it. Insert a pin for about 10-20 seconds and the device should revert to the default settings.
You can then set up a new SSID and password.
A tip to help me remember is to write the password down and tape it to the bottom of my wifi router.

Speed is very slow from modom
Hi there,
Try not use a modem when you have a Router,Connect the ADSL cable Directly from the Spliter to the Router and try using it.
Router does the same thing which modem does but wi-fi connectivity is found in routers.
