I have a Hoover smartwash that I've had for about a year. Recently it's been having trouble dispensing water. I've tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, but that doesn't seem to work. I've also tried turning it off and on again, but that hasn't worked either. I'm not sure what to do because I don't want to have to buy a new one already.

This is common. You need to remove the brush roller completely and untangle hair and threads from around the spindle. The roller should turn very freely. Yours isn't and is causing the drive belt to slip and create the smell.

make sure that the supply line is clear ,some times if solution is allowed to dry in the line the soap dries and blocks the route of solution

I took the advice above I cut off the lead and got a heavy duty plug from screwfix and I cannot see the logic but it worked

The brushes are turned by a motor. No belt. It's possible the gears on the brushes have a flat spot on them which would stop them from turning under a load.

Sometimes, to fix Android Bluetooth not working, you might just need restarting it; especially if it's been left switched on for a while. Therefore, all you need to do is just simply off/on the Bluetooth connection. You'll see the Bluetooth icon, tap on it to switch it off. Now tap on it again to turn it on. To reset your system, delete the vehicle profile from your phone and disable the Bluetooth. Delete your phone profile in your vehicle system. Disable vehicle Bluetooth if there is such an option. Now enable the Bluetooth in your phone and the vehicle infotainment system and try to pair again. The likely cause is a fuse, headlight relay, headlight switch, dimmer switch or a wiring fault. About the only cause that is an easy fix is a blown fuse. Consult your owner's manual to locate the main fuse for the headlight circuit and replace that fuse with one having the same amp rating.

You are better off taking it to a Service Centre. It has electronics board inside and would need to be tested. If it's the motor brushes, you could replace those, but if it is the motor itself, it is normally beyond economic repair. If you are talking about the screen on the bottom of the machine, it pulls out to clean but does not come all the way out.

Did you ever figure out what was causing it? I’m having the same problem. Dissembled and cleaned it completely, but it’s still doing the same thing.
