Turn the set on, hook the cable directly to the TV, take the remote control and press 1 - 1 and if the TV tunes in channel 11 then your set is fine. If the TV was autoprogrammed when hooked to a cable box then the only channels that will be stored in memory are 3, maybe 4 and AUX. To correct this simply go back into the menu and look for the "autoprogram" option and perform the autoprogram while the cable is directly connected to the TV, without a cable box.

Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Although it works for switch OFF, if the intensity of infra-red rays are weak, it should switch it back ON. Check the remote control with fresh batteries. If it behaves like this even with fresh batteries, the infra-red emitter LED at the front of the remote control should be faulty, and need replacement. The volume settings might be locked to '50'. If you have to release this, and to set it into 100%, have to enter its service mode option. The yellow must go to the video and the sound L&R to the audio inputs. If there is no video after selection of the AV, then it is possible that the input video amplifier is faulty. If there is a second AV2 port then use it or else you might need a modulator to connecct vis the RF input.
Other wise the set must be opened to check for failure off the video amp, protection diode at the input.

Turn the volume down to 0 then change to a blocked channel. (where it asks for v-chip password) Next, on the TV, not from the remote, hold the volume down button, and hold the '0' key on the remote for between 2-10 seconds... the screen should unlock and you should have no V-Chip restrictions.

Direct Code Entry

1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

There is nothing you can do. The fault is with its main power regulator section circuit inside. Contact any experienced service technician.
