Remove the mist direction cap (dark plastic piece where the mist comes out.) You should find a small plastic cup with an attached cap. Put the essential oil in the cup, snap on the cap, and put it back into the mist exhaust, and replace the mist direction cap.

I it has a top reserve tank like a water cooler bubbler, look for a crach ANYWHERE in the tank. it could be around the filler hole or cap or like mine which is a different brand, I found it UNDER the glued on handle that is meant to lift the tank off from the unit for filling. Good luck.

Make and model would be nice to know, they use either a vegetable grease of vasoline on the cap threads and seal. The cleaner took that off. You need get something like wood slats to spread the torque out on the cap and then use water pump pliers on it.

If it's a de-humidifier, it is made to take the water out of the air. Usually you will need to take the water out of the de-humidifier that gets condensed out of the air. An air humidifier works in the opposite way and would need to have water added to re-humidify the air.

Which model do you have? On the H12 and 696 series models, F indicates refill the humidifier; the reservoir bottle is out of water. The CF means check the filter/wick. Replace the wick if appropriate. The CF message will appear every 720 hours of run time for the humidifier. It will be reset when the unit is unplugged or loses power. Look for a deadman button somewhere the filters touch the frame. Prevents them from running without filters and prevents an unwanted manicre.
