You have to check the battery of you machine. it is recommended that you have to take ECG with battery backup. you should use AC line only for charging the battery. When you take ECG when the machine is plugged in to the AC you should provide good grounding to your machine. there will be provision for grounding in your machine. when you use the Ac line and if the grounding is not proper then the machine will print AC interference with ecg. that's why the printout come thick. Try to change the battery for better ECG print out.

u have to change the battery of ur machine. its a 9.6v battery pack.
before replacing the battery check is it gettigig the correct changing voltage . for checking that remove battery and connect the power and check the voltage at the battery connector on the machine . it should be about 10.5v. if it ok replace the battery

Low battery
When your dealing with a low battery message you can do many things like the following:
1- Replace the battery.
2- Check the voltage of the battery with a multimeter.
3- Disconnect the unit from the AC source and check if the unit continue functioning without the AC source.
