Why is the green light blinking on the Ryobi charger with the battery in it

My Ryobi 18V One+ charger blinks green while it's charging. When the battery is fully charged, the LED goes to a solid green. However, one battery recently had a faulty cell. After several hours on the charger, the green and red LEDs both were blinking. That indicated that the battery failed late in the charging sequence. It didn't fail the initial testing by the charger. The other battery I charged that day charged fine. The extended capacity batteries can take 12 hours to charge in my experience. The regular batteries take less time. The charge time will depend on the battery chemistry(The older NiCd batteries take longer to charge then the Lithium batteries.) I hope this helps. Assuming you aren't dealing with a cold or hot battery or charging environment, if you have any suspicion about a faulty battery, replace it. Cindy Wells (Note: I have a 12V drill as well. Those batteries takes longer to charge for the same relative capacity than the 18V NiCd batteries.)

How to get stuck bit out of ryobi drill

These are self locking jaws and its done up too tight. try undoing chuck by hand, then with a little more force wrap some cloth around chuck and try a pipe wrench around chuck. make sure you turn the right way or you'll make it worse. if no luck then take it to someone that works with tools and ask them to do it.

Ryobi P110 chargers internal transformer is burnt out? what is the rating on it and where can i find it?

Unless you are a bit clever with electronics, better off buying a new charger than trying to fix the internal circuit on it. here is some links to info ive found. a new Ryobi 18v li charger will charge your nicad battery but a nicad charger will not charge li-ion battery. http://powertool.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/ryobi/p110.html?p=1 http://manuals.ryobitools.com/documents/2101

Ryobi 18V Airstrik nailer. it worked great but then it sat for approx 4 months. Now it seens like its trying to fire in slow motion. Battery fully charged and tested. what could the problem by.?

Because it sat for 4 months your DC brush or brushes could be the problem. It might have accumulated dust and erosion in between the armature. If you have not yet bought a new one, spray it down with electronic cleaner insert the battery again and try it. It should improve some but if not, give it a light spray of WD-40, let it drip out some and then try again.

try pressing the direction switch. sometimes, if it's not fully pressed to forward or reverse, the drill will not operate.

I have an 18 volt ryobi battery with the indicator lights. The battery is just sitting, and the light randomly comes on and off in all colors- red, yellow, green. Any ideas please?

It sounds like the battery has gotten wet .To the best of my Knowledge there are no replacement parts (circuit board) for the batteries.

The ryobi 18v cordless drill, what would it compare to in an electrical drill watts

i've seen people buy adapters to power their cordless drills with an outlet, but they had problems because the outlet didn't have enough raw power for the drills. That leads me to believe an 18v drill pulls some serious amps at full torque and rpm, but the exact numbers would depend on the battery discharge capability which varies on big and small batteries as well as they load if it isn't maxing out the drill.
